Fitment, Shipping & Product Support

Overview

This is Zone Off Road's 4" IFS lift kit for the 2019+ Ram 1500, 4WD — a system specially designed for the current-generation Ram, using the standard-bore OE-type steering knuckle and Zone Nitro Series rear shocks. The kit uses a top-mounted front strut spacer to retain factory ride quality and 3" rear coil springs, with new steering knuckles that add strength and maintain ESC system compatibility. It's built in the USA, for clearance up to 35" tires.

Before ordering: This kit will not fit the 2019–2021 Ram 1500 Classic (see the 2018 kit listings instead), diesel models, models with the Thermal Axle option (build code DSK-P), or models with factory rear airbag suspension. It will not fit the Ram 1500 Rebel or any Ram 1500 with the Off-Road Group option — those trucks require the Ram 1500 Rebel 4" kit instead, not this SKU, to achieve correct ride height. Confirm with your Ram dealer, using your VIN, whether "Off-Road Group" appears under Optional Equipment on your window sticker. This is the Standard knuckle configuration — Rams with factory 22" wheels require the larger-bore knuckle version instead (build code WPM or WPZ); this SKU is not correct for those trucks. Fitment coverage varies by model year, trim, and fuel type — confirm your exact configuration against the Verified Fitment table before ordering.

Required separately: None specified beyond the kit contents — confirm wheel/tire selection against the backspacing guidance below.

What Is and Is NOT Included

Included:

  • Heavy-duty crossmembers
  • Heavy-duty skid plates
  • Standard-bore steering knuckles
  • Top-mounted front strut spacer
  • 3" rear coil springs
  • Zone Nitro Series rear shocks

Not included:

  • Larger-bore knuckles (required separately for trucks with factory 22" wheels, build code WPM or WPZ — not this SKU)
  • Wheels and tires

Critical Compatibility

  • Does not fit 2019–2021 Ram 1500 Classic. Refer to Zone's 2018 kit listings for that model instead.
  • Does not fit Diesel models.
  • Does not fit models with the Thermal Axle option. Reference build code DSK-P.
  • Does not fit models with factory rear airbag suspension.
  • Does not fit the Ram 1500 Rebel or any Ram 1500 with the Off-Road Group option. These trucks require the Ram 1500 Rebel 4" kit to achieve correct ride height — not this SKU. Confirm with your Ram dealer, using your VIN, whether "Off-Road Group" appears under Optional Equipment on your window sticker.
  • Knuckle bore size: This is the Standard knuckle configuration. Rams with factory 22" wheels require the larger-bore knuckle version instead, due to a larger wheel bearing assembly — reference build code WPM or WPZ. This SKU is not correct for those trucks.
  • Wheels: Stock 20" wheels can be reinstalled with factory tire size. If using 18" wheels at maximum recommended backspacing, test-fit wheels on the vehicle before mounting tires to ensure clearance.
  • Recommended tire/wheel combinations: 35x12.5 tires with 20x9 wheels and 5" backspace, or 35x12.5 tires with 18x9 wheels and 5" backspace. Trimming may be required.
  • Shock seal wear is not a warranty defect: Consistent with Zone's warranty terms, shock oil seal wear over time is expected and not covered, except for leaking seals under 2 years from purchase that are free of contamination or misuse.
  • Not for competition or commercial use under full warranty terms: Competition/racing use voids the warranty entirely; commercial-application vehicles carry only a 1-year warranty term rather than the full coverage described above.

Installation Notes

Estimated install time is 8 hours; Zone rates this installation as Moderate difficulty. Zone strongly recommends installation by a certified mechanic; if self-installing, read, understand, and follow all instructions and warnings before beginning. Confirm your truck's knuckle bore requirement and Rebel/Off-Road Group status before beginning installation, since both determine whether this is the correct kit for your truck. Refer to the current Zone Off Road installation instructions supplied with this kit for complete procedures, torque specifications, and all safety requirements.

The Obsidian Take

The ZOND99N is Zone Off Road's 4" IFS lift kit for the current-generation Ram 1500, in its Standard-knuckle, strut-spacer front / Nitro Series rear configuration, using 3" rear coil springs and clearing up to 35" tires. Unlike Zone's 6" kits for the same platform, this 4" kit does not accommodate the Rebel trim or Off-Road Group option at all — those trucks need the separate Ram 1500 Rebel 4" kit instead. Confirm these application conditions before ordering: it doesn't fit the 2019–2021 Classic body style, diesel models, Thermal Axle-equipped trucks, or factory air-suspension trucks, and trucks with factory 22" wheels need the larger-bore knuckle version instead of this Standard configuration. Zone backs the kit with its Factory Protection Plus program — Limited Lifetime Warranty, ESC compatibility, and a 5-year/100,000-mile drivetrain warranty.

This Product Is For You If

  • You own a 2019–2024 Ram 1500 (non-Classic, non-Rebel), 4WD, whose exact model year, trim, and fuel type appears in the Verified Fitment table.
  • Your truck does not have the Off-Road Group option.
  • Your truck does not have factory 22" wheels (or you've confirmed you need the larger-bore knuckle version instead).
  • You are not running the Thermal Axle option or factory rear airbag suspension.
  • You are running up to 35" tires with appropriate wheel backspacing.
  • You are prepared for a moderate-difficulty, 8-hour professional installation.

This Product Is Not For You If

  • You own a 2019–2021 Ram 1500 Classic.
  • You own a Ram 1500 Rebel, or your truck has the Off-Road Group option — you need the Ram 1500 Rebel 4" kit instead.
  • You own a diesel Ram 1500.
  • Your truck has the Thermal Axle option (build code DSK-P) or factory rear airbag suspension.
  • Your truck has factory 22" wheels (build code WPM or WPZ) — you need the larger-bore knuckle version instead.
  • You want the upgraded FOX rear shocks instead of Nitro Series — see the FOX 2.0 Adventure Series configuration (ZOND99F) instead.
  • You want a 6" lift instead of 4" — see Zone's 6" Ram 1500 lift kit family.
  • You intend to use the vehicle for competition or racing.

Common Questions

Does this fit the Ram 1500 Classic?
No. It does not fit the 2019–2021 Ram 1500 Classic — refer to Zone's 2018 kit listings for that model.

Does this fit the Rebel or a truck with the Off-Road Group option?
No. Those trucks require the separate Ram 1500 Rebel 4" kit to achieve correct ride height.

How do I know if my truck has the Off-Road Group option?
Call your local Ram dealer, provide your VIN, and ask them to pull your window sticker. Look under "Optional Equipment" for a line item reading "Off-Road Group."

Does this fit diesel Ram 1500s?
No.

My truck has factory 22" wheels — does this kit work?
Not this configuration. Trucks with factory 22" wheels need the larger-bore knuckle version (build code WPM or WPZ), not this Standard knuckle SKU.

Does this fit factory air suspension trucks?
No.

What tire size does this kit support?
Up to 35" with 20x9 or 18x9 wheels and 5" backspace. Trimming may be required. If using 18" wheels at max backspacing, test-fit before mounting tires.

Can I reinstall my stock wheels?
Stock 20" wheels can be reinstalled with the factory tire size.

What is the warranty?
This kit is backed by Zone's Factory Protection Plus, which includes the Limited Lifetime Warranty, ESC system compatibility, and a 5-year/100,000-mile drivetrain warranty. See full warranty summary below.

Are the included shocks covered under warranty?
Shock oil seal wear over time is expected and not covered. Leaking seals under 2 years from purchase, free of contamination, damage, or misuse, can be considered for warranty.

Safety Warning: This kit affects suspension, steering, and driveline geometry. Confirm your truck's knuckle bore requirement and Rebel/Off-Road Group status before installation, as an incorrect kit selection will not achieve correct ride height or fit. Warranty Summary: This kit is covered under Zone Off Road's Factory Protection Plus program: Zone's Limited Lifetime Warranty, ESC system compatibility, and a 5-year/100,000-mile drivetrain warranty. Under Zone's general Product Warranty, to the original retail purchaser, Zone provides a 3-year/36,000-mile (whichever occurs first) Worry Free warranty on hard parts and wearable items — including ball joints, tie rod ends, and bushings — that are well maintained and free of contamination, damage, or wear from improper use or installation; shocks are excluded from this period. After 3 years/36,000 miles, a Limited Lifetime Warranty guarantees the product is free from defects in material and workmanship for as long as the original purchaser owns the vehicle. Warranty coverage excludes consumer opinions about ride comfort, fitment, or design.

Product finish is warrantable within 12 months of purchase, excluding damage from tools, road debris, trail use, general maintenance, or salty/corrosive environments. For Zone Off Road shocks and FOX Adventure Series shocks, oil seal wear over time is not covered; leaking seals under 2 years from purchase, free of contamination, damage, or abnormal wear from misuse, may be considered for warranty.

This warranty does not apply to products subjected to abuse, neglect, accident, fire, improper installation or adjustment, or corrosion; products modified or altered beyond Zone Off Road specifications; products used outside recommended applications; or products used for competition or racing. Failure due to the use of larger wheels or tires is not covered. Commercial-application vehicles are covered for 1 year only.
