I have a standard JL (3.6L or 2.0L). Can I install this with adapters?
No. SKU 873170 is a vehicle-specific kit. The battery harness, cable lengths, and mounting hardware are configured for the 392 V8 engine bay only. The standard JL has a different engine bay layout and no adapter bridges this gap. If you have a standard JL, text (469) 407-7538 to confirm the correct SKU before ordering.
Does installation require cutting factory wires or tapping into the factory harness?
No. The SourceLT module connects directly to the battery via the included vehicle-specific harness. A single CAT-6 cable runs from the module into the cab to the Mini6 switch panel. No wires are cut, no factory circuits are tapped, no holes are drilled.
What accessories can I run, and what is the real load limit?
The SourceLT Mini6 handles up to 6 independent 12V DC accessories at 30A per circuit — LED light bars, auxiliary driving lights, air compressors, CB radios, dash cameras, trail cameras, heated seats, ARB air lockers, and similar mid-draw accessories all fall within range. What it cannot run: winches, or any device drawing more than 30A. Wire those direct to the battery through a dedicated relay and use the sPOD for everything else.
Will this drain my factory battery?
The integrated Low Voltage Cutoff (LVCO) protects the factory battery automatically. When voltage drops to 11.6V, the sPOD disconnects all accessories after a 2-minute delay. The system requires 12.8V to reinitialize. For builds running heavy accessory loads without consistent charging, pair with a dual-battery system and connect the sPOD source directly to the auxiliary battery bus bar.
What does installation actually take — time, tools, and skill level?
Intermediate DIY level. No wire cutting, drilling, or crimping. Plan for 2–3 hours for a clean finished install. Basic hand tools handle the battery terminal connections; trim tools help if routing the CAT-6 cable through the firewall.
