Description
The sPOD Ethernet Control Cable (SKU 910015) is the 25-foot maximum-length cable for long-distance routing between sPOD power modules and switch interfaces — compatible with BantamX, SourceLT, Mini6, and Mini4 systems. Use when your module and switch interface are separated by more than 15 feet, or when a large vehicle, van, overland rig, or custom electrical layout requires extended cable reach. Cable only — power module and switch panel not included.
This is the maximum system-supported cable length. The sPOD system supports up to 25 feet total between the power module and switch interface. This cable uses the full system allocation — no additional extension is possible beyond this length.

sPOD Ethernet Cable Lineup — Choose Your Length
| SKU | Length | Best For | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 910010 | 1 foot | Co-located module and switch interface within 1 foot | $7.00 |
| 910000 | 10 feet | Standard in-cab routing — most under-dash and firewall-to-dash paths | $29.00 |
| 910005 | 15 feet | Extended routing — complex firewall runs, rear control interfaces | $35.00 |
| 910015 (this listing) | 25 feet | Long-distance routing — full-size trucks, vans, overland rigs, trailers, custom layouts | $45.00 |
Measure your full routing path before ordering. If your path is under 15 feet, order 910005 and eliminate excess cable management. If your path requires more than 25 feet, reconsider module placement — the system does not support cable runs beyond 25 feet total.
When You Need This Cable
| Situation | Notes |
|---|---|
| Module in engine bay, switch interface in rear cargo area | Full-length routing through cab and into cargo — typically 15–25 feet |
| Full-length van build with front module and rear control panel | Longest common application — confirm measured path before ordering |
| Overland rig with roof-mounted or rear-mounted switch interface | Extended routing through pillars and headliner |
| Large truck with module under hood and switch interface behind rear seat | B-pillar and rear cab routing often approaches 20+ feet |
| Trailer or auxiliary electrical build | Module at tongue, switch interface at rear — confirm total routing path |
| Existing 25-foot cable is damaged | Direct replacement |
Critical Compatibility
| Configuration | Notes |

| sPOD BantamX — all variants | Compatible |
| sPOD SourceLT — all variants | Compatible |
| sPOD Mini6 interface | Compatible |
| sPOD Mini4 interface | Compatible |
| sPOD HD switch panel | Compatible |
| sPOD touchscreen | Compatible |
| Non-sPOD power management systems | Not confirmed — designed for the sPOD RJ45 CAT-6 controller interface |
| Total cable run exceeding 25 feet | Beyond the system maximum — signal degradation and potential system faults. Reconsider module placement. |
Common Questions
My routing path is just over 25 feet. Can I extend this cable? No. The sPOD system supports a maximum of 25 feet between the power module and the switch interface. Extending beyond this limit causes signal degradation and potential system faults. If your required routing path exceeds 25 feet, the solution is to reposition the module closer to the switch interface — not to extend the cable.
Do I need to do anything special to manage 25 feet of cable in my build? Yes. A 25-foot cable run in a cab, cargo area, or chassis requires deliberate routing and securing throughout its entire length. Unsecured cable in a high-vibration off-road environment will chafe against chassis components and fail at the connector over time. Use split loom, cable clips, or adhesive mounts to secure the cable at regular intervals along the full routing path. Plan the route before installation.
Can I use a standard 25-foot CAT-6 patch cable? The RJ45 CAT-6 spec is standard, but the sPOD cable uses reinforced, weather-resistant construction rated for vibration, temperature swing, and moisture exposure. A commercial patch cable is designed for static indoor use and will fail prematurely in an off-road environment.
The Obsidian Take
The 910015 is the right cable when your routing path genuinely requires up to 25 feet and no shorter cable length will do. It is also the system ceiling — there is no longer option and no workaround if 25 feet is not enough. Measure before you order, and plan your cable management before you route. A 25-foot cable that is properly secured and routed will outlast the build. One that is not will fail at the connector.
