Description
The sPOD Ethernet Control Cable (SKU 910005) is the 15-foot extended-reach cable that connects sPOD power modules to switch interfaces — compatible with BantamX, SourceLT, Mini6, and Mini4 systems. Use when a 10-foot cable falls short of your routing path, an existing cable is damaged, or a secondary control interface requires a longer run. Cable only — power module and switch panel not included.
If 10 feet of reach is sufficient for your installation, order SKU 910000 at $6 less.

sPOD Ethernet Cable Lineup — Choose Your Length
| SKU | Length | Best For | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 910000 | 10 feet | Standard in-cab routing — most under-dash and firewall-to-dash paths | $6 less |
| 910005 (this listing) | 15 feet | Longer routing paths — complex firewall runs, cab-to-bed, van or overland rear control interfaces | — |
Measure your full routing path from the module to the switch interface — through panels, around obstacles, along the actual installation line — before choosing. Straight-line distance understimates the required cable length every time. The 25-foot system maximum is the hard ceiling regardless of cable length.
When You Need This Cable
| Situation | Notes |
|---|---|
| Routing path exceeds 10 feet | Standard kit cable falls short — 15-foot cable bridges the gap while staying within the 25-ft system maximum |
| Complex firewall-to-dash routing | Panel routing adds significant length — 15 feet covers paths that look short on paper |
| Cab-to-bed or cab-to-cargo control interface | Extended routing through the B-pillar or rear of cab typically requires more than 10 feet |
| Van or overland build with rear switch interface | Long-wheelbase routing from front module to rear panel often exceeds 10 feet |
| Existing cable is damaged | Direct replacement at 15-foot length |
| Adding a second switch interface requiring longer run | BantamX second controller port — 15-foot run to secondary panel location |
Critical Compatibility
| Configuration | Notes |

Common Questions
My routing path is just over 10 feet. Do I need the 15-foot cable or can I make the 10-foot work? Measure the actual routing path — not straight-line distance. Route the tape measure through the same path the cable will take: over the firewall, along the dash, through any panel gaps. If that measurement exceeds 10 feet, order the 15-foot cable. Routing a cable that is too short strains the connectors and risks signal loss or physical damage over time.
Can I use a standard CAT-6 Ethernet cable from a hardware store? The RJ45 CAT-6 connector spec is standard, but the sPOD cable uses reinforced, weather-resistant construction rated for vibration, temperature swing, and moisture exposure in off-road environments. A commercial-grade indoor Ethernet cable may fail prematurely under those conditions. Use the sPOD-specified cable for long-term reliability.
My total routing distance is close to 25 feet. Is that a problem? The sPOD system supports up to 25 feet total between the power module and the switch interface. Stay within that limit. If your path approaches or exceeds 25 feet, reconsider module placement to reduce the cable run before ordering.
The Obsidian Take
The 910005 is the right cable when 10 feet falls short and 25 feet is the ceiling. Measure your routing path before ordering — routing through panels and around obstacles adds more length than expected. If the path is under 10 feet, order 910000 and save $6. If it is over 10 feet, this is your cable.
