Description
The sPOD BantamX Touchscreen Kit (SKU 870086) is the vehicle-specific 8-circuit solid-state power management system for the 2021–2026 Ford F-150 and F-150 Raptor (14th Generation). The touchscreen integrates directly into the F-150's in-cab sunglass holder via a vehicle-specific mounting plate. The BantamX module mounts in the engine bay. A single Ethernet cable connects both. No wires cut, no factory circuits tapped. Expandable to 32 channels. Operates on 12V or 24V DC.
This kit does NOT fit the 2020 or earlier F-150. Confirm your model year before ordering.

| SKU | System | Circuits | Interface | Voltage | Expandable | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 870088 | Mini6 SourceLT | 6 | Physical Mini6 panel — sunglass holder | 12V DC only | No | $335 less |
| 870086 (this listing) | BantamX Touchscreen | 8 | In-cab touchscreen — sunglass holder | 12V or 24V | Yes — to 32 | — |
| HD BantamX | 8 | Physical HD panel — RGB — sunglass holder | 12V or 24V | Yes — to 32 | Confirm |
All three kits mount in the same sunglass holder position. The decision between them is circuit count and interface preference. Touchscreen vs. HD panel: same BantamX module, same 8 circuits, same expandability — the touchscreen gives you customizable labeled circuit names and real-time monitoring; the HD panel gives you tactile switches operable by feel in the dark. Mini6 SourceLT saves $335 with 6 circuits and no expansion path.
Critical Compatibility — Does NOT Fit
FITMENT: 14th gen F-150 only. 2020 and earlier does not fit. Questions? Text (469) 407-7538.
| Configuration | Reason |
|---|---|
| 2020 and earlier Ford F-150 (13th Gen or prior) | Different platform architecture. This kit does not fit. |
| Ford F-250 / F-350 Super Duty | Different platform. Order the Super Duty-specific sPOD kit instead. |
| Ford Ranger — all generations | Different platform. Not compatible with this SKU. |
| Ford Maverick — all generations | Different platform. Not compatible with this SKU. |
| Exterior or exposed touchscreen mounting | Touchscreen is NOT weatherproof. Water or liquid exposure damages the screen and voids the warranty. Mount in sunglass holder or other protected interior location only. |
| Winches and high-draw recovery motors | 30A max per circuit. Winches draw 250–400A under load. Wire winches direct to battery through a dedicated relay. |
| Any accessory requiring more than 30A per circuit | 30A hard ceiling per circuit. High-draw devices require direct battery wiring outside this system. |
Common Questions
How do I confirm I have a 14th gen F-150? The 14th generation F-150 launched for the 2021 model year. If your F-150 is a 2020 or earlier, it is a 13th gen and this kit does not fit. Confirm your model year on your window sticker, door jamb, or title before ordering.
Where exactly does the touchscreen mount in the F-150? The vehicle-specific mounting plate replaces the in-cab sunglass holder in the overhead console — same position as the Mini6 and HD panel kits. sPOD designed the plate at the optimal angle for touchscreen access from the driver or passenger position. No drilling, no modifications to the interior required.
Touchscreen vs. HD panel — which is right for my F-150 build? Same BantamX module, same 8 circuits, same sunglass holder position. The touchscreen gives you a customizable labeled interface with real-time circuit monitoring — ideal when your accessory list changes or you want visual system status. The HD panel gives you tactile switches you can hit by feel at night without looking — better for a dedicated off-road or trail rig where eyes-free switch access matters. Choose based on how you operate the truck.
Does installation require cutting factory wires or tapping into the F-150 harness? No. The BantamX module connects directly to the battery via the included cable set. A single Ethernet cable runs from the engine bay module to the sunglass holder touchscreen. No factory circuits are tapped, no wires are cut.
Can I expand beyond 8 circuits later? Yes. The BantamX has two RJ45 controller ports and is expandable to 32 channels via the sPOD BantamX add-on system.
Does this fit the Raptor R? Yes. The Raptor R uses the same 14th gen F-150 platform with the same sunglass holder interior architecture.
What does installation actually take — time, tools, and skill level? Intermediate to advanced DIY level. Vehicle-specific mounting hardware eliminates custom fabrication. Plan for 2–3 hours. Sunglass holder removal requires basic trim tools. Battery terminal connections require basic hand tools. Text (469) 407-7538 with pre-install questions.
The Obsidian Take
The BantamX Touchscreen Kit (870086) is for the 2021–2026 F-150 or Raptor owner who wants 8 circuits of clean, fuse-free accessory power behind a customizable touchscreen in the sunglass holder — real-time circuit monitoring, custom labels, Bluetooth in parallel, expandable to 32 channels. Factory-level integration with no drilling.
If tactile switches matter more than a touchscreen interface, look at the HD BantamX for the same platform. If 6 circuits covers the build, save $335 with the Mini6 SourceLT (870088). One thing that does not change regardless of which kit you choose: the touchscreen is not weatherproof — keep it in the sunglass holder, not exposed to the elements.
Non-Returnable Notice: Electrical systems that have been powered and connected to a vehicle are non-returnable. Inspect the kit and confirm fitment before connecting to the battery.
