⚠️ Add-On Module — Requires Existing sPOD BantamX System + Controller
This is a second BantamX power module that daisy-chains to an existing BantamX via the second RJ45 controller port — expanding your system from 8 to 16 circuits (or further with additional units). It is NOT a standalone system and it is NOT a switch panel. A controller — HD panel, touchscreen, or sPOD app — must be connected to the primary BantamX for the add-on to function.
The sPOD BantamX Add-On (SKU BXUNI84ADD) is the universal 8-circuit expansion module for existing sPOD BantamX systems. Connects to the second RJ45 port on your existing BantamX — no new switch panel required, no new controller cable into the cab. Adds 8 fully programmable 30A circuits, its own 16-position terminal block, its own LVCO and MOSFET protection, and its own 84-inch battery cable set. Up to 4 BantamX units can be daisy-chained for up to 32 total circuits controlled by one touchscreen.

How the BantamX Daisy-Chain Works
| Units | Total Circuits | Controller Required |
|---|---|---|
| 1 primary BantamX | 8 | 1 HD panel, touchscreen, or app |
| 1 primary + 1 add-on (this listing) | 16 | Same primary controller manages all |
| 1 primary + 2 add-ons | 24 | Same primary controller manages all |
| 1 primary + 3 add-ons | 32 — system maximum | Same primary controller manages all |
Each add-on connects to the previous unit's second RJ45 port. The primary BantamX's controller manages all circuits across all chained units. No additional switch panels or cab cable runs required for add-on units.
84-Inch vs. 36-Inch — Choose Before Ordering
| Cable Length | SKU | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| 84 inches — BXUNI84ADD (this listing) | Add-on module | Module mounting more than 3 feet from battery — full-size trucks, van builds, remote mounting positions |
| 36 inches — BXUNI36ADD | Add-on module | Module mounting within 3 feet of battery — compact engine bays, UTV builds |
Measure the routing path from the battery to the planned add-on module location before ordering.
Critical Compatibility
| Configuration | Notes |
|---|---|
| Existing sPOD BantamX system with available RJ45 port | Required — add-on connects to the second RJ45 controller port on the primary BantamX |
| No controller connected | System will not function. At least one sPOD controller must be connected to the primary BantamX. |
| More than 3 add-ons (more than 32 total circuits) | 32-circuit maximum — 4 BantamX units total including primary |
| sPOD SourceLT systems | Not compatible — SourceLT does not support BantamX add-on expansion |
| Winches and high-draw recovery motors | 30A max per circuit. Wire winches direct to battery through a dedicated relay. |
| Any accessory requiring more than 30A per circuit | 30A hard ceiling per circuit. High-draw devices require direct battery wiring outside this system. |
Common Questions
My BantamX system is maxed out at 8 circuits. Can I add this module to get 16? Yes — if your primary BantamX has an available second RJ45 controller port. Connect the add-on module to that port. Your existing controller (HD panel, touchscreen, or app) manages all 16 circuits. No additional cable run into the cab required.
Do I need a second switch panel for the add-on circuits? No. The existing controller on the primary BantamX manages all circuits across all chained add-on units. If you want a dedicated second panel for the add-on circuits, you can connect one to the add-on's second RJ45 port — but it is not required.
How many add-on units can I chain? Up to 3 add-on units (4 BantamX modules total including the primary) for a maximum of 32 circuits, all controlled by one touchscreen.
Why 84-inch cables instead of 36-inch? 84-inch cables give you 7 feet of routing flexibility — necessary when the add-on module mounts away from the battery. If the add-on module will be within 3 feet of the battery, order BXUNI36ADD for cleaner cable management.
The Obsidian Take
The BantamX Add-On (BXUNI84ADD) is for the builder who has outgrown 8 circuits on an existing BantamX system and needs more — cleanly, without running additional cables into the cab or replacing the primary system. Connect to the second RJ45 port, wire the add-on module to its own battery cables, and the existing controller manages all 16 circuits.
Confirm your primary BantamX has an available RJ45 port before ordering. Confirm your planned module location requires 84 inches of battery cable reach — if it is within 3 feet, order BXUNI36ADD instead.
