This panel is an add-on accessory for the sPOD SourceSE 8-circuit system. It is specifically designed to add a physical switch panel to an existing SourceSE Touchscreen system (8-700-TS-JK), giving you both touchscreen and physical switch control from the same SourceSE module. It will not function without an existing SourceSE 8-circuit source. If you do not already own a SourceSE 8-circuit system, this panel is not the right product.
The sPOD Add-On Amber LED 8-Switch Panel (SKU 860865) adds 8 Amber LED dual-lit Carling Contura switches to an existing SourceSE 8-circuit system in the 2009–2018 Jeep Wrangler JK. Welded aluminum housing matches the 2009–2015 JK interior with vehicle-specific mounting hardware. Connects via 10-foot RJ45 Ethernet cable to the SourceSE module. Amber LED — warm, low-glare illumination for night vision preservation during trail driving. Automatic system shutdown when panel is unplugged. What does "add-on only" mean? This panel has no independent power management capability. It functions as a switch interface that communicates with the SourceSE module via the 10-foot Ethernet cable. Without an existing SourceSE 8-circuit source, the panel is non-functional. It is specifically designed to add physical switch control alongside the SourceSE Touchscreen system.
Why Amber for a JK trail build? Amber sits in the warm spectrum with minimal pupil contraction — your eyes stay dark-adapted when you look away from the panel. For a JK running dark forest roads, canyon trails, or extended night sessions, Amber preserves night vision significantly better than Green or Blue. Red provides slightly better night vision preservation than Amber at the cost of slightly lower switch-state readability in intermediate lighting. For most trail-focused JK owners, Amber is the right balance.
How do I program strobe or flash on these switches? Strobe and flash are programmed directly on the switch via a rapid On/Off/On sequence — not through an app. This is the legacy SourceSE programming method, different from BantamX and SourceLT app-based programming.
Can I run this panel in a different location from my main SourceSE touchscreen? Yes. The panel is daisy-chainable via Ethernet. You can place one panel in the cab and one in the cargo area, both controlling the same SourceSE circuits.
