Ford Super Duty — 4WD:

Year Range Make Model Drivetrain
2005–2016 Ford F-250 Super Duty 4WD
2005–2016 Ford F-350 Super Duty 4WD
2005–2016 Ford F-450 Super Duty 4WD

Lift range:

  • Direct bolt-on replacement for 0"–5" of front lift (also covers leveled trucks).
  • Accommodates 6"–8" of lift only when paired with a compatible track bar relocation bracket (found in ReadyLIFT 6.5" and 8" lift kits).

Does NOT fit:

  • 2WD F-250 / F-350 / F-450 — this is a solid-front-axle 4WD track bar; 2WD Super Duty does not use this front-axle setup.
  • 2017 and newer Super Duty — different front-end and track bar geometry; outside this bar's range.
  • 2004 and earlier Super Duty — outside the confirmed 2005–2016 range.
  • Ford F-150 — independent front suspension; incompatible application.

All-engine note: This track bar mounts axle-to-frame and is not engine-specific — gas and diesel Super Duty 4WD applications are both covered within the year range.

DOM tube steel and 4140 Chromoly ends — engineering distinction: The 1.5" OD, 3/8-wall DOM (drawn-over-mandrel) tube resists the deflection that lets a lifted front axle wander side to side. The CNC-machined 4140 Chromoly ends carry the load at both connection points, and the axle-side tapered end is cut to receive the factory ball joint directly — no adapters.

Twin-pinch on-truck adjuster: The frame-side threaded forged housing screws into a twin-pinch adjuster, so bar length is dialed in with the bar still bolted to the truck. That means the front axle can be re-centered without unbolting and removing the bar for every adjustment.

Track bar relocation bracket — for 6"–8" lifts: At 0"–5" the bar is a direct bolt-on. Above that, a relocation bracket is required to correct the steepened track bar angle; the bar alone will not restore geometry at 6"–8". The correct bracket is included in ReadyLIFT's 6.5" and 8" lift kits.

What Is and Is NOT Included

Included NOT Included
(1) Heavy-duty adjustable front track bar — 1.5" DOM tube steel, 4140 Chromoly ends Track bar relocation bracket — required for 6"–8" lifts; found in ReadyLIFT 6.5" / 8" lift kits
Threaded forged frame-side housing with maintenance-free bushing (integrated) Alignment — required post-installation; budget separately
Twin-pinch on-truck adjuster (integrated) Additional lift kit components — the track bar is a standalone upgrade

Critical Compatibility

0"–5" lift or leveled — direct bolt-on. No relocation bracket needed. This is the primary application the bar is engineered for.

6"–8" lift — bracket required. The bar works at this height only with a track bar relocation bracket (included in ReadyLIFT 6.5" and 8" lift kits). Without it, the geometry is not corrected.

4WD solid front axle only. The tapered axle-side end mates to the factory ball joint on the 4WD Super Duty front axle. 2WD Super Duty does not use this setup and is not compatible.

Inspect the factory ball joint. The tapered end receives the factory ball joint — a worn joint (or worn tie rod ends and hub bearings) will undermine the tracking improvement and can be a wobble contributor in its own right. Inspect before install.

Scenario Result
2005–2016 F-250 / F-350 / F-450 4WD, 0"–5" lift or leveled Confirmed fit — direct bolt-on
2005–2016 F-250 / F-350 / F-450 4WD, 6"–8" lift Confirmed with track bar relocation bracket
2WD Super Duty Does NOT fit — no solid front axle
2017+ Super Duty Does NOT fit — different geometry
2004 and earlier Super Duty Does NOT fit — outside confirmed range
Stock / leveled height Confirmed — corrects axle centering and steering feel
Worn factory ball joint / tie rod ends Inspect and address first — worn linkage defeats the improvement

Installation Notes

Skill level: Intermediate — bolt-on, no cutting or welding. Professional installation recommended for alignment-critical work.

Tools required: Standard hand tools and socket set, torque wrench, ball joint separator as needed. Alignment shop access required after installation.

Setting the bar: For 6"–8" builds, install the relocation bracket first. Set final bar length on the vehicle with the twin-pinch adjuster, confirm the front axle is centered, then torque to spec.

Torque and break-in: Torque all twin-pinch and mounting hardware to ReadyLIFT specification, and re-verify after a 500-mile break-in.

Post-installation alignment is mandatory. A professional front-end alignment is required to re-center the steering wheel and verify axle position after installation.

Common Questions

What's the difference this bar makes over the factory track bar?
The factory bar allows the deflection and slop that shows up as wander and wobble once a truck is lifted or leveled. The 77-2005 uses a 1.5", 3/8-wall DOM tube with CNC-machined 4140 Chromoly ends to resist that deflection, and a twin-pinch adjuster to re-center the axle exactly — a structural upgrade, not just a replacement.

Will this fix death wobble on my Super Duty?
It's engineered to remedy the steering wobble and wander common to lifted and leveled 2005–2016 Super Dutys, and its rigid construction and on-truck adjustability are a major part of that. Wobble can have more than one root cause, though — worn ball joints, tie rod ends, or hub bearings contribute too. Inspect those alongside the bar. Text (469) 407-7538 with your symptoms and setup and we'll help you sort the likely cause.

Does it fit an F-450?
Yes — 2005–2016 F-250, F-350, and F-450 Super Duty 4WD are all confirmed. It does not fit 2WD trucks.

Can I run this with my 6" or 8" lift?
Yes, with a track bar relocation bracket — the same bracket found in ReadyLIFT's 6.5" and 8" lift kits. Direct bolt-on covers 0"–5"; above that, the bracket is required. Text (469) 407-7538 if you're unsure which bracket your build needs.

Do I have to unbolt the bar to adjust it?
No — the twin-pinch adjuster lets you set bar length on the vehicle, so you can center the axle without pulling the bar off the truck.

Do I need an alignment after installation?
Yes — a professional front-end alignment is mandatory to re-center the steering wheel and confirm axle position.

The Obsidian Take

The 77-2005 is ReadyLIFT's heavy-duty adjustable front track bar for the 2005–2016 Ford F-250/F-350/F-450 Super Duty 4WD — built from 1.5", 3/8-wall DOM tube steel with CNC-machined 4140 Chromoly ends, a threaded forged frame-side housing, and a twin-pinch on-truck adjuster.

The tube and end material are the point. A lifted or leveled solid front axle loads the track bar hard under cornering and over uneven pavement; a thin or worn bar flexes, and that flex reads at the wheel as wander and wobble. The 3/8-wall DOM tube and 4140 Chromoly ends resist that deflection, and the tapered axle-side end mates straight to the factory ball joint with no adapter.

The on-truck adjuster is the other decision worth understanding. Centering a lifted front axle is an iterative job, and a bar that has to come off for every adjustment turns that into hours. The twin-pinch adjuster lets you set length on the vehicle and dial the axle dead-center without unbolting the bar.

The lift-range split is the buying line to get right. At 0"–5" this is a direct bolt-on and the correct answer on its own. At 6"–8", it needs a track bar relocation bracket to correct the bar angle — the bar alone won't do it up there.

This SKU is for: 2005–2016 F-250/F-350/F-450 Super Duty 4WD owners running 0"–5" of lift (or leveled) who want to eliminate steering slop and wobble with a structural, adjustable bar — and 6"–8" owners who will pair it with the required relocation bracket.

This SKU is NOT for: 2WD Super Duty owners, 2017+ or pre-2005 trucks, F-150 owners, or 6"–8" builds without the relocation bracket.
