JKS J-Konnect 3.5" Lift Kit w/ Fox 2.0 Performance | 2020–2024 Jeep Wrangler JL 4-Door EcoDiesel

Is This for You?

You're running a JL 4-Door EcoDiesel and you want the J-Konnect long-arm geometry upgrade with proven Fox damping at a value-forward price point. The JSPEC159KFP pairs JKS long-arm control arms with Fox 2.0 Performance Series shocks, engineered specifically for the EcoDiesel's heavier front end. The 3.0L V6 diesel adds significant mass over the front axle — this kit's coil rate and long-arm geometry correction are calibrated for that weight without requiring a reservoir shock.

The Result

3.5" of lift with JKS long-arm caster and pinion correction calibrated for the EcoDiesel's front-end weight. Fox 2.0 Performance shocks deliver consistent, predictable damping for moderate trail use and daily driving under the diesel's heavier front-end load. Adjustable upper and lower control arms allow precise alignment post-install. Axle wrap is eliminated and the EcoDiesel's heavier platform benefits from the long-arm geometry's superior caster correction at this lift height.

System Specifications

  • Lift Height: 3.5"
  • System: J-Konnect Long-Arm (EcoDiesel-specific coil rate)
  • Shock: Fox 2.0 Performance Series (non-reservoir)
  • Coil Rate: Heavy-duty — engineered for EcoDiesel front-end mass
  • Control Arms: JKS adjustable upper and lower long-arm (front and rear)
  • SKU: JSPEC159KFP

Installation & Fabrication Notes

Long-arm geometry requires a front differential drop or relocation bracket (included or specified in kit). Professional 4-wheel alignment required post-installation. Torque all control arm hardware to JKS specification after a 500-mile break-in. No cutting or welding required for standard JL 4-Door EcoDiesel applications. For extended technical trail use under the EcoDiesel's heavier front-end load, consider upgrading to the Fox 2.5 Elite variant (JSPEC159PES) for improved heat management and DSC adjustment.

Wheel & Tire Fitment

Engineered for 35"–37" tires. Recommended backspacing: 4.5"–4.75" on a 17"×9" or 18"×9" wheel. The EcoDiesel's heavier front end affects fender clearance differently than the gas JL — confirm tire brand and tread width before finalizing wheel selection.

Engineering Question

Choosing the Fox 2.0 non-reservoir for a J-Konnect 3.5" long-arm EcoDiesel JL 4-Door build — at what point does the 3.0L diesel's additional front-end mass push the 2.0 Performance beyond its thermal ceiling compared to the same shock on a gas JL 4-Door? The EcoDiesel's heavier front end increases the dynamic load per compression cycle, which means the 2.0 Performance reaches its thermal limit faster on the diesel than on a gas JL under the same terrain conditions. For moderate trail days on a stock-weight EcoDiesel, the 2.0 Performance is workable. Add a steel bumper or run sustained rocky terrain and the thermal demand increases significantly. Contact OFAS with your EcoDiesel's build weight and trail profile and we'll confirm whether the Fox 2.5 Elite step-up is warranted.
