JKS J-Venture 3.5" Lift Kit w/ Fox 2.0 Performance | 2020–2024 Jeep Wrangler JL 4-Door EcoDiesel

Is This for You?

You're running a JL 4-Door EcoDiesel and you want 3.5" of lift with the J-Venture short-arm platform and proven Fox damping at a value-forward price point. The JSPEC158KFP pairs JKS J-Venture geometry-corrected control arms with Fox 2.0 Performance Series shocks, engineered specifically for the EcoDiesel's heavier front end. No differential drop required, no fabrication, and the coil rate is calibrated for the 3.0L diesel's front-end mass.

The Result

3.5" of lift with JKS J-Venture geometry correction calibrated for the EcoDiesel's front-end weight. Fox 2.0 Performance shocks deliver consistent, predictable damping for moderate trail use and daily driving under the diesel's heavier front-end load. Adjustable control arms allow precise alignment post-install. For EcoDiesel owners who want a clean short-arm geometry upgrade at a moderate price point, this is the right entry into the J-Venture 3.5" EcoDiesel lineup.

Verified Fitment (OFAS Standard)

  • Fits: 2020–2024 Jeep Wrangler JL 4-Door (Unlimited) — 3.0L EcoDiesel ONLY

System Specifications

  • Lift Height: 3.5"
  • System: J-Venture Short-Arm (EcoDiesel-specific coil rate)
  • Shock: Fox 2.0 Performance Series (non-reservoir)
  • Coil Rate: Heavy-duty — engineered for EcoDiesel front-end mass
  • Control Arms: JKS J-Venture geometry-corrected short-arm control arms
  • SKU: JSPEC158KFP

Installation & Fabrication Notes

Short-arm system does not require differential drop or relocation. Professional 4-wheel alignment required post-installation. Torque all control arm hardware to JKS specification after a 500-mile break-in. No cutting or welding required for standard JL 4-Door EcoDiesel applications. For extended technical trail use under the EcoDiesel's heavier front-end load, consider upgrading to the Fox 2.5 Elite variant (JSPEC158PES) for improved heat management and DSC adjustment.

Wheel & Tire Fitment

Engineered for 35"–37" tires. Recommended backspacing: 4.5"–4.75" on a 17"×9" or 18"×9" wheel. The EcoDiesel's heavier front end affects fender clearance differently than the gas JL — confirm tire brand and tread width before finalizing wheel selection.

Engineering Question

Running Fox 2.0 non-reservoir shocks on a J-Venture 3.5" short-arm EcoDiesel JL 4-Door — how does the combination of the short-arm geometry's different chassis pitch behavior and the EcoDiesel's heavier front-end mass affect the 2.0 Performance's thermal ceiling compared to the same shock on a gas JL 4-Door with long-arm geometry at the same lift height? The short-arm geometry produces faster chassis pitch cycles than long-arm, and the EcoDiesel's heavier front end increases the load per cycle — both factors work against the 2.0 Performance's thermal capacity simultaneously. For moderate trail days on a stock-weight EcoDiesel, the 2.0 Performance is workable. For sustained technical terrain or an accessorized diesel build, contact OFAS and we'll confirm whether the Fox 2.5 Elite step-up is warranted for your specific EcoDiesel J-Venture build.
