JKS J-Krawl 3.5" Lift Kit w/ Fox 2.5 Elite DSC | 2007–2018 Jeep Wrangler JK 2-Door

Is This for You?

You're building a dedicated crawler on a JK 2-Door platform and you want 3.5" of lift with the J-Krawl system — JKS's crawler-specific suspension designed for maximum articulation, locker compatibility, and 37"+ tire clearance. Paired with Fox 2.5 Elite DSC reservoir shocks, the JSPEC152PES gives you driver-adjustable compression to dial in the shock for slow-speed rock crawling or faster trail sections. The JK 2-Door's shorter wheelbase and lighter weight make it the ideal platform for the J-Krawl's articulation-focused geometry.

The Result

3.5" of lift with JKS J-Krawl crawler geometry — engineered for maximum droop travel and articulation on technical terrain. Fox 2.5 Elite DSC shocks give you on-the-fly compression adjustment: open it up for maximum compliance on slow rock sections, firm it up for faster trail transitions. The JK 2-Door's shorter wheelbase and lighter platform respond exceptionally well to the J-Krawl's articulation-focused design at this lift height.

Verified Fitment (OFAS Standard)

Installation & Fabrication Notes

Professional 4-wheel alignment required post-installation. Torque all control arm hardware to JKS specification after a 500-mile break-in. Confirm DSC adjuster knob placement for driver accessibility during install. Verify Fox 2.5 reservoir clearance against skid plates and rock rails. The J-Krawl system is designed for locker-equipped builds — confirm front and rear locker compatibility with OFAS before finalizing your build spec. No cutting or welding required for standard JK 2-Door applications.

Wheel & Tire Fitment

Engineered for 37" tires on a dedicated crawler build. Recommended backspacing: 4.0"–4.5" on a 17"×9" or 17"×8" wheel. The JK 2-Door's shorter wheelbase makes fender clearance more sensitive to tire width at 3.5" of lift — confirm tread width and brand before finalizing wheel selection. 40" tires may be possible with fender modification — contact OFAS for clearance confirmation.

Engineering Question

Running Fox 2.5 Elite DSC on a J-Krawl 3.5" JK 2-Door crawler build with 37" tires and front and rear lockers — what DSC low-speed compression baseline works best for slow-speed rock crawling where the shock is cycling through maximum droop travel repeatedly? On a dedicated crawler, the DSC low-speed circuit is the primary tuning lever — you want enough low-speed damping to control body roll on side-hills without killing articulation compliance on slow rock sections. The optimal baseline depends on your tire pressure, locker engagement pattern, and terrain type. Contact OFAS with your full build spec and we'll give you a DSC starting position calibrated for your specific JK 2-Door crawler configuration.
