Description
JKS J-Krawl 3" Lift Kit w/ Fox 2.0 Adventure | Standard-Rate Coils | 2018–2026 Jeep Wrangler JL 2-Door
Is This for You?
You're building a dedicated crawler on a stock-weight JL 2-Door platform and you want 3" of lift with the J-Krawl system, Fox 2.0 Adventure IFP shocks, and a standard-rate coil spring that maximizes droop travel and articulation compliance. The JSPEC147KFA pairs JKS J-Krawl crawler geometry with Fox 2.0 Adventure IFP shocks and standard-rate coils. The IFP's aeration resistance is particularly valuable on a crawler platform where the shock cycles repeatedly through maximum droop travel at low speed — and the standard-rate coils maximize the articulation compliance that the J-Krawl geometry is designed to deliver.
The Result
3" of lift with JKS J-Krawl crawler geometry and standard-rate coils that maximize droop travel and articulation compliance for stock-weight builds. Fox 2.0 Adventure IFP shocks deliver consistent, fade-resistant damping across extended crawler sessions. The IFP design prevents oil aeration under sustained low-speed, high-travel cycling — exactly the operating condition of a dedicated crawler.
Verified Fitment (OFAS Standard)
- Fits: 2018–2026 Jeep Wrangler JL 2-Door — Gas Models (2.0T, 3.6L), Stock-Weight Configuration
- Does NOT fit: JL 4-Door (Unlimited) | JL EcoDiesel | JL 4xe Hybrid | JK (any year) | Gladiator JT
- Coil Note: Standard-Rate — NOT recommended for builds with steel bumpers, winch, or heavy roof rack. Use JSPEC148KFA (HD coils) for accessorized builds.
System Specifications
- Lift Height: 3"
- System: J-Krawl (crawler-specific geometry, maximum articulation)
- Shock: Fox 2.0 Adventure Series (IFP monotube, non-reservoir)
- Coil Rate: Standard-Rate — optimized for stock-weight JL 2-Door crawler builds
- Control Arms: JKS J-Krawl geometry-corrected control arms
- SKU: JSPEC147KFA
Installation & Fabrication Notes
Professional 4-wheel alignment required post-installation. Torque all control arm hardware to JKS specification after a 500-mile break-in. The Fox 2.0 Adventure's IFP design is position-sensitive — confirm correct shock orientation during install per Fox installation guidelines. The J-Krawl system is designed for locker-equipped builds — confirm front and rear locker compatibility with OFAS before finalizing your build spec. No cutting or welding required for standard JL 2-Door gas applications.
Wheel & Tire Fitment
Engineered for 37" tires on a stock-weight crawler build. Recommended backspacing: 4.0"–4.5" on a 17"×9" or 17"×8" wheel. Standard-rate coils are not recommended for tire sizes exceeding 37" without load confirmation from OFAS.
Engineering Question
Choosing the Fox 2.0 Adventure IFP with standard-rate coils for a J-Krawl 3" JL 2-Door crawler build — how does the combination of IFP aeration resistance and standard-rate coil compliance interact on a dedicated crawler where the shock is cycling through maximum droop travel repeatedly at low speed? Standard-rate coils allow more droop travel than HD coils, which means the shock cycles through a greater range of motion per obstacle. The IFP's aeration resistance is most valuable when the shock is cycling rapidly through a large range of motion — which is exactly what happens on a J-Krawl build with standard-rate coils on technical terrain. The two features compound each other's benefit on a dedicated crawler. Contact OFAS with your terrain profile and we'll confirm whether the Adventure IFP or the 2.5 Elite reservoir is the right spec for your specific JL 2-Door J-Krawl standard-rate build.
