JKS J-Konnect 3" Lift Kit w/ Fox 2.0 Performance | HD Coils | 2018–2026 Jeep Wrangler JL 2-Door

Is This for You?

You're building an accessorized JL 2-Door and you want the J-Konnect long-arm geometry upgrade with proven Fox damping at a value-forward price point. The JSPEC146KFP pairs JKS long-arm control arms with Fox 2.0 Performance Series shocks and HD coil springs. HD coils handle the weight of a steel bumper or winch without sagging, and the Fox 2.0 Performance delivers consistent, predictable damping for moderate trail use and daily driving on the JL 2-Door platform.

The Result

3" of lift with JKS long-arm caster and pinion correction. HD coils maintain ride height under accessory loads. Fox 2.0 Performance shocks deliver reliable, consistent damping for moderate trail use and daily driving. Adjustable upper and lower control arms allow precise alignment post-install. The JL 2-Door's shorter wheelbase benefits from the long-arm geometry's improved caster correction at this lift height.

Verified Fitment (OFAS Standard)

  • Fits: 2018–2026 Jeep Wrangler JL 2-Door — Gas Models (2.0T, 3.6L), Accessorized Builds
  • Does NOT fit: JL 4-Door (Unlimited) | JL EcoDiesel | JL 4xe Hybrid | JK (any year) | Gladiator JT
  • Coil Note: HD Rate — engineered for accessorized JL 2-Door builds with steel bumpers or winch. Use JSPEC145KFP (Std-Rate) for stock-weight builds.

System Specifications

  • Lift Height: 3"
  • System: J-Konnect Long-Arm
  • Shock: Fox 2.0 Performance Series (non-reservoir)
  • Coil Rate: HD — tuned for accessorized JL 2-Door builds
  • Control Arms: JKS adjustable upper and lower long-arm (front and rear)
  • SKU: JSPEC146KFP

Installation & Fabrication Notes

Long-arm geometry requires a front differential drop or relocation bracket (included or specified in kit). Professional 4-wheel alignment required post-installation. Torque all control arm hardware to JKS specification after a 500-mile break-in. No cutting or welding required for standard JL 2-Door gas applications. For extended technical trail use with a heavy front end, consider upgrading to the Fox 2.5 Elite DSC variant (JSPEC146PES) for improved heat management and on-the-fly adjustment.

Wheel & Tire Fitment

Engineered for 35"–37" tires on an accessorized build. Recommended backspacing: 4.5"–4.75" on a 17"×9" or 18"×9" wheel. The JL 2-Door's shorter wheelbase makes fender clearance more sensitive to tire width at 3" of lift — confirm tread width and brand before finalizing wheel selection.

Engineering Question

Running Fox 2.0 non-reservoir shocks with HD coils on a J-Konnect 3" long-arm JL 2-Door build with a steel bumper and winch — how does the combination of the JL 2-Door's lighter curb weight and the HD coil's stiffer spring rate affect the 2.0 Performance's thermal ceiling compared to the same shock on a heavier JL 4-Door with the same accessory load? The JL 2-Door's lighter base weight partially offsets the accessory load's thermal impact on the 2.0 Performance compared to the 4-Door. For moderate trail days on a lightly accessorized JL 2-Door, the 2.0 Performance is adequate. Add a full steel front end and run sustained rocky terrain and the thermal demand increases significantly. Contact OFAS with your build weight and trail profile and we'll confirm whether the Fox 2.5 Elite step-up is warranted for your specific JL 2-Door build.
