Installation & Fabrication Notes

Long-arm geometry requires a front differential drop or relocation bracket (included or specified in kit). Professional 4-wheel alignment required post-installation. Torque all control arm hardware to JKS specification after a 500-mile break-in. Confirm DSC adjuster knob placement for driver accessibility during install. Verify Fox 2.5 reservoir clearance against skid plates and body panels. No cutting or welding required for standard JL 2-Door gas applications.

Wheel & Tire Fitment

Optimized for 35" tires on a stock-weight build. Recommended backspacing: 4.5"–4.75" on a 17"×9" or 18"×9" wheel. Standard-rate coils are not recommended for tire sizes exceeding 37" without load confirmation from OFAS.

Engineering Question

Running Fox 2.5 Elite DSC with standard-rate coils on a J-Konnect 3" long-arm stock-weight JL 2-Door — does the JL 2-Door's shorter wheelbase and lighter platform require a different DSC low-speed compression baseline than a JL 4-Door running the same shock and coil rate at the same lift height? Yes — the JL 2-Door's shorter wheelbase produces faster chassis pitch cycles per trail obstacle, which means the DSC low-speed circuit is more active per mile of trail than on the 4-Door. A DSC setting that controls body pitch well on the 4-Door may feel too stiff on the lighter, shorter 2-Door. On a stock-weight JL 2-Door with standard-rate coils, the DSC low-speed circuit can typically be run softer than on a heavier or HD-coil build.
