No cutting or welding required for standard JL 4-Door gas applications.

Wheel & Tire Fitment

Optimized for 35" tires on a stock-weight build. Recommended backspacing: 4.5"–4.75" on a 17"×9" or 18"×9" wheel. At 2.5" of lift, fender clearance with 35s is workable on a stock-weight rig — confirm tire brand and tread width before finalizing wheel selection.

Engineering Question

Running Fox 2.5 Elite DSC with standard-rate coils on a J-Kontrol 2.5" stock-weight JL 4-Door — is the DSC adjustment range meaningful at 2.5" of lift where the shock travel is more limited than at 3.5", or does the reduced lift height narrow the useful DSC tuning window? At 2.5" of lift, the shock operates over a shorter travel range than at 3.5", which means the DSC's low-speed and high-speed circuits are working within a tighter velocity envelope. The DSC adjustment is still meaningful — particularly the low-speed circuit for body pitch control on trail — but the range of useful adjustment is narrower than on a 3.5" build.
