JKS J-Kontrol 2.5" Lift Kit w/ Fox 2.0 Performance | Standard-Rate Coils | 2018–2026 Jeep Wrangler JL 4-Door
Is This for You?
You're running a stock-weight JL 4-Door Unlimited and you want 2.5" of lift with the J-Kontrol geometry correction and proven Fox damping at a value-forward price point. The JSPEC137KFP pairs JKS J-Kontrol control arms with Fox 2.0 Performance Series shocks and standard-rate coil springs. Standard-rate coils maximize droop travel and trail compliance for stock-weight builds, and the Fox 2.0 Performance delivers consistent, predictable damping for moderate trail use and daily driving.
The Result
2.5" of lift with JKS J-Kontrol geometry correction. Standard-rate coils maximize droop travel and trail compliance for stock-weight builds. Fox 2.0 Performance shocks deliver reliable, consistent damping for moderate trail use and daily driving. Adjustable control arms allow precise alignment post-install.

Installation & Fabrication Notes
Professional 4-wheel alignment required post-installation. Torque all control arm hardware to JKS specification after a 500-mile break-in. No cutting or welding required for standard JL 4-Door gas applications. For extended technical trail use, consider upgrading to the Fox 2.5 Elite DSC variant (JSPEC137PES) for improved heat management and on-the-fly adjustment.
Wheel & Tire Fitment
Optimized for 35" tires on a stock-weight build. Recommended backspacing: 4.5"–4.75" on a 17"×9" or 18"×9" wheel. At 2.5" of lift, fender clearance with 35s is workable on a stock-weight rig — confirm tire brand and tread width before finalizing wheel selection.
Engineering Question
Running Fox 2.0 non-reservoir shocks with standard-rate coils on a J-Kontrol 2.5" stock-weight JL 4-Door — how does the combination of J-Kontrol geometry correction and standard-rate coils affect the 2.0 Performance's shock travel utilization compared to the same shock on a spacer lift with factory coils at the same ride height? The J-Kontrol's geometry correction allows more droop travel than a spacer lift, and standard-rate coils allow more droop than factory coils — both factors increase the shock's range of motion per obstacle. More travel range means the 2.0 Performance is working harder per trail mile than it would be on a spacer lift. For moderate trail days on a stock-weight JL 4-Door, the 2.0 Performance is adequate. Contact OFAS with your terrain profile and we'll confirm whether the Fox 2.5 Elite step-up is warranted for your specific build.
