JKS J-Kontrol 3" Lift Kit w/ Fox 2.5 Elite DSC | HD Coils | 2018–2026 Jeep Wrangler JL 2-Door

Is This for You?

You're building an accessorized JL 2-Door and you want the top-spec Fox shock in the J-Kontrol 3" HD lineup. The JSPEC135PES delivers JKS J-Kontrol control arms with Fox 2.5 Elite DSC reservoir shocks and HD coil springs. Driver-adjustable compression lets you compensate for the accessory load on the fly — firm it up for highway stability under a heavy steel front end, open it up for trail compliance. This is the highest-performing shock configuration in the J-Kontrol 3" HD JL 2-Door lineup.

The Result

3" of lift with JKS J-Kontrol geometry correction. HD coils maintain ride height under accessory loads. Fox 2.5 Elite DSC shocks give you real-time compression adjustment to manage the accessory load's effect on front-end dynamics. Adjustable control arms allow precise alignment post-install.

Verified Fitment (OFAS Standard)

  • Fits: 2018–2026 Jeep Wrangler JL 2-Door — Gas Models (2.0T, 3.6L)
  • Does NOT fit: JL 4-Door (Unlimited) | JL EcoDiesel | JL 4xe Hybrid | JK (any year) | Gladiator JT
  • Coil Note: HD Rate — engineered for accessorized JL 2-Door builds with steel bumpers or winch. Use JSPEC134PES (Std-Rate) for stock-weight builds.

Installation & Fabrication Notes

Professional 4-wheel alignment required post-installation. Torque all control arm hardware to JKS specification after a 500-mile break-in. Confirm DSC adjuster knob placement for driver accessibility during install. Verify Fox 2.5 reservoir clearance against skid plates and body panels. No cutting or welding required for standard JL 2-Door gas applications.

Wheel & Tire Fitment

Engineered for 35"–37" tires on an accessorized build. Recommended backspacing: 4.0"–4.5" on a 17"×9" or 17"×8" wheel. The JL 2-Door's shorter wheelbase makes fender clearance more sensitive to tire width at 3" of lift — confirm tread width and brand before finalizing wheel selection.

Engineering Question

Running Fox 2.5 Elite DSC with HD coils on a J-Kontrol 3" JL 2-Door build with a steel bumper and winch — how does the JL 2-Door's shorter wheelbase and lighter base weight affect the optimal DSC high-speed compression baseline compared to a JL 4-Door running the same shock and coil rate at the same lift height with the same accessory load? The JL 2-Door's shorter wheelbase produces faster chassis pitch cycles per trail obstacle, which means the DSC high-speed circuit is more active per mile of trail than on the 4-Door. The lighter base weight partially offsets the accessory load's effect, but the shorter wheelbase's pitch frequency is the dominant factor. A DSC setting that controls body motion well on a 4-Door may feel too stiff on the shorter 2-Door under the same accessory load. Contact OFAS with your total front-end weight and primary terrain and we'll give you a DSC baseline starting position calibrated specifically for the JL 2-Door's dynamics at 3" of J-Kontrol lift.
