JKS J-Kontrol 3" Lift Kit w/ Fox 2.0 Performance | Standard-Rate Coils | 2018–2026 Jeep Wrangler JL 2-Door

Is This for You?

You're running a stock-weight JL 2-Door and you want 3" of lift with the J-Kontrol geometry correction and proven Fox damping at a value-forward price point. The JSPEC134KFP pairs JKS J-Kontrol control arms with Fox 2.0 Performance Series shocks and standard-rate coil springs. Standard-rate coils maximize droop travel and trail compliance for stock-weight builds, and the Fox 2.0 Performance delivers consistent, predictable damping for moderate trail use and daily driving on the JL 2-Door platform.

The Result

3" of lift with JKS J-Kontrol geometry correction. Standard-rate coils maximize droop travel and trail compliance for stock-weight builds. Fox 2.0 Performance shocks deliver reliable, consistent damping for moderate trail use and daily driving. Adjustable control arms allow precise alignment post-install.

Verified Fitment (OFAS Standard)

  • Fits: 2018–2026 Jeep Wrangler JL 2-Door — Gas Models (2.0T, 3.6L), Stock-Weight Configuration
  • Does NOT fit: JL 4-Door (Unlimited) | JL EcoDiesel | JL 4xe Hybrid | JK (any year) | Gladiator JT
  • Coil Note: Standard-Rate — NOT recommended for builds with steel bumpers, winch, or heavy roof rack. Use JSPEC135KFP (HD coils) for accessorized builds.

Installation & Fabrication Notes

Professional 4-wheel alignment required post-installation. Torque all control arm hardware to JKS specification after a 500-mile break-in. No cutting or welding required for standard JL 2-Door gas applications. For extended technical trail use, consider upgrading to the Fox 2.5 Elite DSC variant (JSPEC134PES) for improved heat management and on-the-fly adjustment.

Wheel & Tire Fitment

Optimized for 35" tires on a stock-weight build. Recommended backspacing: 4.0"–4.5" on a 17"×9" or 17"×8" wheel. Standard-rate coils are not recommended for tire sizes exceeding 37" without load confirmation from OFAS. The JL 2-Door's shorter wheelbase makes fender clearance more sensitive to tire width at 3" of lift — confirm tread width and brand before finalizing wheel selection.

Engineering Question

Running Fox 2.0 non-reservoir shocks with standard-rate coils on a J-Kontrol 3" stock-weight JL 2-Door — how does the combination of J-Kontrol geometry correction, standard-rate coils, and the JL 2-Door's shorter wheelbase affect the 2.0 Performance's thermal ceiling compared to the same shock on a J-Kontrol 3" stock-weight JL 4-Door with the same coil rate? The JL 2-Door's shorter wheelbase produces faster chassis pitch cycles per trail obstacle, which means the 2.0 Performance is cycling more frequently per mile of trail than on the 4-Door. More cycles per mile means the 2.0 reaches its thermal ceiling faster on the 2-Door than on the 4-Door under the same terrain conditions. For moderate trail days on a stock-weight JL 2-Door, the 2.0 Performance is adequate. Contact OFAS with your terrain profile and we'll confirm whether the Fox 2.5 Elite step-up is warranted for your specific build.
