Description
JKS J-Krawl 3.5" Lift Kit w/ Fox 3.0 IBP | Standard-Rate Coils | 2018–2026 Jeep Wrangler JL 4-Door
Is This for You?
You're building the ultimate dedicated crawler on a stock-weight JL 4-Door Unlimited and you want the highest-spec Fox shock available paired with a standard-rate coil spring that maximizes droop travel and articulation compliance. The JSPEC127FRS delivers JKS J-Krawl crawler geometry with Fox 3.0 Internal Bypass (IBP) shocks and standard-rate coil springs. The 3.0" body's increased oil volume and internal bypass ports deliver progressive damping that transitions smoothly between maximum articulation compliance at slow crawler speeds and progressive control at higher trail speeds. Combined with standard-rate coils, this is the most articulation-focused configuration in the J-Krawl 3.5" JL 4-Door lineup.
The Result
3.5" of lift with JKS J-Krawl crawler geometry — engineered for maximum droop travel and articulation on technical terrain. Standard-rate coils maximize droop travel and articulation compliance for stock-weight builds. Fox 3.0 IBP shocks deliver progressive damping through internal bypass ports: soft and compliant at low shaft velocities for maximum articulation on slow rock sections, progressively firmer at higher velocities for trail control. The combination of J-Krawl geometry, standard-rate coils, and Fox 3.0 IBP progressive damping delivers the maximum articulation performance available in the J-Krawl 3.5" lineup for a stock-weight JL 4-Door.
Verified Fitment (OFAS Standard)
- Fits: 2018–2026 Jeep Wrangler JL 4-Door (Unlimited) — Gas Models (2.0T, 3.6L), Stock-Weight Configuration
- Does NOT fit: JL 2-Door | JL EcoDiesel | JL 4xe Hybrid | JK (any year) | Gladiator JT
- Coil Note: Standard-Rate — NOT recommended for builds with steel bumpers, winch, or heavy rock rails. Use JSPEC128FRS (HD coils) for accessorized builds.
System Specifications
- Lift Height: 3.5"
- System: J-Krawl (crawler-specific geometry, maximum articulation)
- Shock: Fox 3.0 Internal Bypass (IBP) — 3.0" body diameter, internal bypass ports, progressive damping
- Coil Rate: Standard-Rate — optimized for stock-weight JL 4-Door crawler builds
- Control Arms: JKS J-Krawl geometry-corrected control arms
- SKU: JSPEC127FRS
Installation & Fabrication Notes
Professional 4-wheel alignment required post-installation. Torque all control arm hardware to JKS specification after a 500-mile break-in. The Fox 3.0 IBP's larger body diameter requires clearance verification against skid plates, rock rails, and body panels before install — confirm clearance with OFAS before ordering. The J-Krawl system is designed for locker-equipped builds — confirm front and rear locker compatibility with OFAS before finalizing your build spec. No cutting or welding required for standard JL 4-Door gas applications.
Wheel & Tire Fitment
Engineered for 37"+ tires on a stock-weight dedicated crawler build. Recommended backspacing: 4.5"–4.75" on a 17"×9" or 18"×9" wheel. Standard-rate coils are not recommended for tire sizes exceeding 37" without load confirmation from OFAS. Contact OFAS for 40" tire clearance confirmation.
Engineering Question
Running Fox 3.0 IBP shocks with standard-rate coils on a J-Krawl 3.5" stock-weight JL 4-Door crawler build — how does the combination of the IBP's progressive bypass damping and the standard-rate coil's increased droop travel interact at the shock velocity threshold where the bypass ports close and the main valving engages? Standard-rate coils allow more droop travel than HD coils, which means the shock reaches higher shaft velocities at full droop than it would with HD coils. This affects the bypass port engagement threshold — the shock may transition from bypass to main valving at a lower trail speed on a standard-rate build than on an HD-coil build. Contact OFAS with your terrain profile and we'll confirm the IBP bypass tuning that's right for your specific JL 4-Door J-Krawl 3.5" standard-rate configuration.
