JKS J-Konnect 2.5" Lift Kit w/ J-Spec Shocks | HD Coils | 2018–2026 Jeep Wrangler JL 4-Door

Is This for You?

You want the J-Konnect long-arm geometry upgrade on your accessorized JL 4-Door Unlimited at the lowest possible entry cost — or you're planning to run a specific aftermarket shock and want the platform without paying for a duplicate damper. The JSPEC122K delivers the complete J-Konnect 2.5" HD system with JKS J-Spec monotube shocks and HD coil springs. It's the base-shock, heavy-duty coil configuration of the J-Konnect 2.5" lineup for built rigs.

The Result

2.5" of lift with long-arm caster and pinion correction. HD coils maintain ride height under steel bumper and winch loads. J-Spec monotube shocks provide a functional, predictable damping baseline that outperforms factory units and serves as a solid starting point for future shock upgrades. Adjustable control arms allow precise alignment post-install.

System Specifications

  • Lift Height: 2.5"
  • System: J-Konnect Long-Arm
  • Shock: JKS J-Spec Monotube
  • Coil Rate: HD — tuned for accessorized JL 4-Door builds with steel bumpers or winch
  • Control Arms: JKS adjustable upper and lower long-arm (front and rear)
  • SKU: JSPEC122K

Installation & Fabrication Notes

Long-arm geometry requires a front differential drop or relocation bracket (included or specified in kit). Professional 4-wheel alignment required post-installation. Torque all control arm hardware to JKS specification after a 500-mile break-in. No cutting or welding required for standard JL 4-Door gas applications. Shock upgrade path (Fox 2.0, Fox 2.5, Fox 2.5 Elite) is compatible with this control arm platform — confirm eye-to-eye length with OFAS before purchasing replacement shocks.

Wheel & Tire Fitment

Engineered for 35" tires on an accessorized build. Recommended backspacing: 4.5"–4.75" on a 17"×9" or 18"×9" wheel. At 2.5" of lift, fender clearance with 35s is tight — confirm tire brand and tread width before finalizing wheel selection.

Engineering Question

Starting with J-Spec shocks on the J-Konnect 2.5" HD platform and running a steel bumper plus winch — how long before the J-Spec shocks become the limiting factor on technical terrain? For moderate trails and daily driving, J-Spec monotubes hold up well. But if you're running sustained rocky terrain with a heavy front end, heat fade becomes a factor faster than on a reservoir shock. Contact OFAS with your trail profile and we'll tell you exactly when the Fox 2.5 upgrade makes sense for your specific build.
