Installation & Fabrication Notes

Short-arm system does not require differential drop or relocation. Professional 4-wheel alignment required post-installation. Torque all control arm hardware to JKS specification after a 500-mile break-in. Confirm Fox 2.5 reservoir clearance against skid plates during install. No cutting or welding required for standard JL 4-Door gas applications. If adding front accessories post-install, consult OFAS for HD coil upgrade compatibility.

Wheel & Tire Fitment

Optimized for 35"–37" tires on a stock-weight build. Recommended backspacing: 4.5"–4.75" on a 17"×9" or 18"×9" wheel. Standard-rate coils may exhibit sag under heavy accessory loads — confirm with OFAS if adding front-end weight after install.

Engineering Question

Running the J-Venture 3.5" std-rate with Fox 2.5 on a stock-weight JL 4-Door and planning to add a front bumper later — at what point does the standard-rate coil start sagging under the added load? A mid-weight steel bumper (60–80 lbs) can compress std-rate coils 0.25"–0.5" under static load. Add a winch and that number climbs.
