The JSPEC118KNS delivers the full J-Venture 2.5" HD system with shock extension brackets, allowing you to retain and reuse your existing shock absorbers. HD coils handle the weight of a built rig with steel bumpers and winch. This is the bring-your-own-shocks configuration of the J-Venture 2.5" HD lineup.

Installation & Fabrication Notes

Short-arm system does not require differential drop or relocation. Professional 4-wheel alignment required post-installation. Torque all control arm hardware to JKS specification after a 500-mile break-in. Verify existing shock eye-to-eye length and body diameter compatibility with JKS extension brackets before install. No cutting or welding required for standard JL 4-Door gas applications.

Wheel & Tire Fitment

Engineered for 35" tires on an accessorized build. Recommended backspacing: 4.5"–4.75" on a 17"×9" or 18"×9" wheel. At 2.5" of lift, fender clearance with 35s is tight — confirm tire brand and tread width before finalizing wheel selection. 37" tires are not recommended at this lift height without fender modification.

Carrying over a set of Fox 2.5 Performance or Bilstein 5100 shocks into this J-Venture 2.5" HD short-arm build on an accessorized JL 4-Door — will the extension brackets maintain correct shock travel at full droop under HD coil load? The extension bracket geometry is designed for specific collapsed and extended shock lengths.
