JKS J-Venture 2.5" Lift Kit w/ Fox 2.0 Performance | HD Coils | 2018–2026 Jeep Wrangler JL 4-Door

Is This for You?

You're running a moderately accessorized JL 4-Door Unlimited — steel bumper, winch, or heavy spare — and you want 2.5" of lift with a short-arm system that handles your front-end weight and delivers Fox damping at a value-forward price point. The JSPEC118KFP pairs JKS geometry-corrected short-arm control arms with Fox 2.0 Performance Series shocks and HD coil springs. It's the most accessible Fox-equipped configuration in the J-Venture 2.5" HD lineup — no differential drop required, no fabrication, proven geometry correction.

The Result

2.5" of lift with JKS geometry-corrected short-arm control arms. HD coils maintain ride height under accessory loads. Fox 2.0 Performance shocks deliver consistent, predictable damping for moderate trail use and daily driving. No differential drop required. Adjustable control arms allow precise alignment post-install.

Verified Fitment (OFAS Standard)

  • Fits: 2018–2026 Jeep Wrangler JL 4-Door (Unlimited) — Gas Models
  • Does NOT fit: JL 2-Door | JL Diesel (EcoDiesel) | JL 4xe Hybrid | JK (2007–2018) | Gladiator JT

System Specifications

  • Lift Height: 2.5"
  • System: J-Venture Short-Arm
  • Shock: Fox 2.0 Performance Series (non-reservoir)
  • Coil Rate: HD — tuned for accessorized JL 4-Door builds with steel bumpers or winch
  • Control Arms: JKS geometry-corrected short-arm control arms
  • SKU: JSPEC118KFP

Installation & Fabrication Notes

Short-arm system does not require differential drop or relocation. Professional 4-wheel alignment required post-installation. Torque all control arm hardware to JKS specification after a 500-mile break-in. No cutting or welding required for standard JL 4-Door gas applications. For extended technical trail use with a heavy front end, consider upgrading to the Fox 2.5 reservoir variant (JSPEC118PS) for improved heat management.

Wheel & Tire Fitment

Engineered for 35" tires on an accessorized build. Recommended backspacing: 4.5"–4.75" on a 17"×9" or 18"×9" wheel. At 2.5" of lift, fender clearance with 35s is tight — confirm tire brand and tread width before finalizing wheel selection. 37" tires are not recommended at this lift height without fender modification.

Engineering Question

Running a steel bumper and winch on a J-Venture 2.5" HD short-arm build with Fox 2.0 non-reservoir shocks — how does added front-end mass affect shock body temperature on a sustained trail day compared to a stock-weight rig? A heavy front end increases the dynamic load on the shock body with every compression cycle. The 2.0 Performance handles moderate trail days well, but heat accumulates faster under sustained load than on a stock-weight build. If your trail days run 3+ hours on rocky terrain with a full steel front end, contact OFAS — we'll tell you whether the Fox 2.5 reservoir step-up is warranted for your specific build weight and terrain profile.
