Installation & Fabrication Notes

Short-arm system does not require differential drop or relocation. Professional 4-wheel alignment required post-installation. Torque all control arm hardware to JKS specification after a 500-mile break-in. Confirm DSC adjuster knob placement for driver accessibility during install. No cutting or welding required for standard JL 4-Door gas applications.

Wheel & Tire Fitment

Optimized for 35" tires on a stock-weight build. Recommended backspacing: 4.5"–4.75" on a 17"×9" or 18"×9" wheel. Standard-rate coils are not recommended for tire sizes exceeding 37" without load confirmation from OFAS.

Running Fox 2.5 Elite DSC on a J-Venture 2.5" std-rate short-arm build — is there a meaningful difference in DSC low-speed adjustment feel between a short-arm and long-arm platform at the same lift height and coil rate? Yes — the short-arm geometry produces slightly different chassis pitch behavior under compression than a long-arm setup, which means the DSC low-speed baseline that works on a J-Konnect may not be optimal on a J-Venture.
