JKS J-Venture 2.5" Lift Kit w/ J-Spec Shocks | Standard-Rate Coils | 2018–2026 Jeep Wrangler JL 4-Door
Is This for You?
You want the J-Venture short-arm platform on your stock-weight JL 4-Door Unlimited at the lowest possible entry cost — or you're planning to run a specific aftermarket shock and want the platform without paying for a duplicate damper. The JSPEC117K delivers the complete J-Venture 2.5" standard-rate system with JKS J-Spec monotube shocks. It's the base-shock, trail-compliant configuration of the J-Venture 2.5" lineup for stock-weight builds that want a clean short-arm install with no differential drop and no fabrication.
The Result
2.5" of lift with JKS geometry-corrected short-arm control arms. Standard-rate coils maximize droop travel and trail articulation for stock-weight builds. J-Spec monotube shocks provide a functional, predictable damping baseline that outperforms factory units. No differential drop required. The platform is shock-upgrade-ready when you're ready to step up to Fox or King.

Installation & Fabrication Notes
Short-arm system does not require differential drop or relocation. Professional 4-wheel alignment required post-installation. Torque all control arm hardware to JKS specification after a 500-mile break-in. No cutting or welding required for standard JL 4-Door gas applications. Shock upgrade path (Fox 2.0, Fox 2.5, Fox 2.5 Elite) is compatible with this control arm platform — confirm eye-to-eye length with OFAS before purchasing replacement shocks.
Wheel & Tire Fitment
Optimized for 35" tires on a stock-weight build. Recommended backspacing: 4.5"–4.75" on a 17"×9" or 18"×9" wheel. Standard-rate coils are not recommended for tire sizes exceeding 37" without load confirmation from OFAS.
Engineering Question
Starting with J-Spec shocks on the J-Venture 2.5" std-rate short-arm platform and planning a Fox 2.5 reservoir upgrade after your first trail season — does the J-Venture short-arm geometry impose any constraints on replacement shock body diameter or reservoir routing that the J-Konnect long-arm doesn't? Yes — short-arm control arm geometry creates different shock mounting angles and clearance envelopes than long-arm. Reservoir routing that clears on a J-Konnect may conflict with a J-Venture bracket. Contact OFAS with your target shock model before you buy the upgrade and we'll confirm clearance and mounting compatibility for your specific JL 4-Door build.
