Installation & Fabrication Notes

Long-arm geometry requires a front differential drop or relocation bracket (included or specified in kit). Professional 4-wheel alignment required post-installation. Torque all control arm hardware to JKS specification after a 500-mile break-in. No cutting or welding required for standard JK 2-Door applications. For extended technical trail use, consider upgrading to the Fox 2.5 Elite variant (JSPEC114PES) for improved heat management and DSC adjustment.

Wheel & Tire Fitment

Engineered for 35"–37" tires. Recommended backspacing: 4.5"–4.75" on a 17"×9" or 18"×9" wheel. The JK 2-Door's shorter wheelbase makes fender clearance more sensitive to tire width — confirm tread width and brand before finalizing wheel selection.

Running Fox 2.0 non-reservoir shocks on a J-Konnect 3.5" long-arm JK 2-Door build with 35s — how does the JK 2-Door's lighter curb weight affect shock body temperature compared to a heavier JK 4-Door running the same shock at the same lift height? The 2-Door's lower mass reduces the dynamic load per compression cycle, which gives the 2.0 Performance more thermal headroom than it would have on a heavier platform. For moderate trail days on a stock-weight JK 2-Door, the 2.0 Performance is a well-matched shock.
