JKS J-Kontrol 3.5" Lift Kit w/ Fox 2.0 Adventure | 2007–2018 Jeep Wrangler JK 2-Door
Is This for You?
You're building a JK 2-Door and you want 3.5" of lift with the J-Kontrol geometry correction and Fox 2.0 Adventure Series shocks — Fox's IFP (Internal Floating Piston) monotube design that delivers a step up in damping consistency over standard twin-tube shocks without the cost of a reservoir unit. The JSPEC109KFA is the mid-tier Fox option in the J-Kontrol 3.5" JK 2-Door lineup, suited for daily drivers and weekend trail rigs that want proven Fox performance at a moderate price point.
The Result
3.5" of lift with JKS J-Kontrol geometry correction. Fox 2.0 Adventure IFP shocks deliver consistent, fade-resistant damping for daily driving and moderate trail use. The IFP design separates oil from nitrogen gas, preventing aeration and maintaining consistent damping feel across temperature cycles. Adjustable control arms allow precise alignment post-install.

Installation & Fabrication Notes
Professional 4-wheel alignment required post-installation. Torque all control arm hardware to JKS specification after a 500-mile break-in. No cutting or welding required for standard JK 2-Door applications. The Fox 2.0 Adventure's IFP design is position-sensitive — confirm correct shock orientation during install per Fox installation guidelines.
Wheel & Tire Fitment
Engineered for 35"–37" tires. Recommended backspacing: 4.5"–4.75" on a 17"×9" or 18"×9" wheel. The JK 2-Door's shorter wheelbase makes fender clearance more sensitive to tire width — confirm tread width and brand before finalizing wheel selection.
Engineering Question
Choosing between the Fox 2.0 Adventure IFP and the Fox 2.0 Performance for a J-Kontrol 3.5" JK 2-Door build — what's the practical damping difference between an IFP monotube and a standard twin-tube at the same body diameter on a stock-weight JK 2-Door? The IFP design prevents oil aeration under sustained cycling, which means the Adventure maintains a more consistent damping feel across a full trail day compared to a twin-tube that can fade as oil temperature rises. For a JK 2-Door that sees regular trail use, the Adventure's IFP is a meaningful upgrade. Contact OFAS with your trail frequency and terrain type and we'll confirm whether the Adventure or Performance is the better spec for your specific build.
