This is a FOX 2.5 Performance Series HTO (Hydraulic Top Out) bolt-on rear shock for the 2011–2026 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD/3500 HD and GMC Sierra 2500 HD/3500 HD — a 2.5" internal floating piston (IFP) design with position-sensitive rebound damping, vehicle-specific valving, and a Type II clear-anodized aluminum body, rated for a 0"–1" lift.
Before ordering: This is a rear-position shock only — it does not include a front shock. - Lift height: Rated for a 0"–1" lift across all verified applications.
- Bolt-on installation: Described by the manufacturer as a bolt-on shock; confirm this matches your intended installation approach.
- Trim-specific coverage from 2024: The Silverado 2500 HD and Sierra 2500 HD are verified as "All" trims through 2023, then split into named trims (Custom, High Country, LT, LTZ, WT for Chevrolet; AT4, Denali, Denali Ultimate, Pro, SLE, SLT for GMC) starting in 2024. The Silverado 3500 HD and Sierra 3500 HD remain "All" trim across the full range.

The Obsidian Take
This FOX 987-24-009 2.5 Performance Series HTO rear shock covers the 2011–2026 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD/3500 HD and GMC Sierra 2500 HD/3500 HD, uniformly rated for a 0"–1" lift. The Hydraulic Top Out piston adds position-sensitive rebound control that's particularly useful for heavier tires or lifted applications. Coverage is straightforward across most of the range, but 2024-and-newer 2500 HD trucks are split by named trim rather than covered as "All" — confirm your exact trim if you're on a current-generation 2500 HD.
