The new center pins included in the kit ensure the mini pack is correctly located and retained on the stock spring pack's center bolt boss without reusing the factory overload's center pin, which may not be compatible with the Deaver pack's leaf thickness. Compatible with stock spring packs only — this mini pack is designed to fasten to the factory leaf spring assembly using the included center pins. It is not compatible with aftermarket full replacement leaf packs (including Deaver full replacement packs) or any spring assembly that does not retain the factory center bolt boss geometry.
Requires rear pinion angle check post-installation — at 1–2.5 inches of rear lift, verify driveline u-joint operating angles are within GM's specification before towing at rated capacity.
Requires rear U-bolt inspection at time of installation — if the factory U-bolts show corrosion or deformation, replace them concurrently with the mini pack installation.
Requires rear alignment verification post-installation to confirm axle centering and tracking geometry at the new ride height.

Installation & Technical Notes

Estimated Install Time: 2-Hour DIY Install (with basic lift equipment, hand tools, and torque wrench)
Lift Height Selection: Determine desired rear lift height before installation and remove the appropriate number of spacer blocks: remove one block for approximately 1–1.5 inches of lift; remove both blocks for approximately 2–2.5 inches of lift. Verify final ride height after installation before driving.
Center Pin Installation: Use the new center pins included in the kit — do not reuse the factory overload center pin. Verify the center pin is fully seated and the nut is torqued to specification before reinstalling the U-bolts.
Torque Specifications: Refer to the included instruction sheet for center pin and U-bolt torque values — torque with the suspension at ride height under load.
Pinion Angle: After installation, verify rear driveshaft u-joint operating angles are within GM's specification for the installed lift height. At 2–2.5 inches of rear lift, a pinion angle correction shim may be required to prevent driveline vibration under tow load.
Re-torque: Re-torque U-bolts and center pin hardware after the first 500 miles of use.
