Description
The Obsidian Vision
The Cognito Ultimate Leveling Kit with Fox Factory Race Series 3.0 Internal Bypass Shocks is the definitive front-and-rear suspension package for the 2019–2025 Silverado and Sierra 1500 owner who demands the highest level of engineering, ride quality, and stance precision that the T1 platform can support — a complete system where every component is selected and sized to work in concert, not assembled from compromises. At the core of the front system, the Cognito SM Series Ball Joint Upper Control Arm Kit corrects the ball joint operating angle and guarantees a minimum of 3 inches of usable droop travel, the threshold below which ride quality degrades and suspension component longevity is compromised regardless of shock quality. The Fox Factory Race Series 3.0 Internal Bypass shocks with recirculating reservoirs and Dual Speed Compression adjusters deliver the thermal management and damping precision of purpose-built race technology to a truck that will never see a race course — because that level of engineering is exactly what separates a properly built daily driver from everything else on the road.

Engineering Breakdown
- Corrects the front ball joint operating angle via the Cognito SM Series Upper Control Arm Kit, guaranteeing a minimum of 3 inches of front droop travel on standard models (1 inch on AT4/Trail Boss) — the engineering threshold required to maintain ride quality, tire contact patch, and long-term suspension component integrity at leveled ride heights.
- Eliminates shock oil temperature buildup and fade under sustained off-road or high-speed use through the Fox FRS 3.0 Internal Bypass shock's recirculating reservoir system, which continuously cycles oil through an external cooling circuit to maintain consistent damping force across the full range of suspension travel.
- Levels the rear of the truck 1–2 inches on standard models via adjustable-height Deaver mini packs that replace the harsh factory overload spring and block, with 1.5-inch bump stop spacers protecting the Fox shocks from bottom-out under maximum compression loads.
The Fox Factory Race Series 3.0 Internal Bypass shock is a position-sensitive damper that uses bypass tubes machined into the shock body to create distinct compression and rebound zones across the shock's travel range — delivering a compliant initial stroke for small-bump absorption and a progressively firmer mid-stroke for body motion control, without the harshness of a single-rate valved shock. The recirculating reservoir maintains a constant oil supply to the shock piston, preventing cavitation and aeration that cause fade during sustained use. The Dual Speed Compression adjuster provides independent control of low-speed compression (body roll, dive, squat) and high-speed compression (impact absorption), allowing the owner to tune the damping character to their specific load, tire, and terrain requirements without disassembly. The Cognito SM Series upper control arm's boxed sheet-metal construction, maintenance-free ball joints, and polyurethane pivot bushings ensure the corrected geometry holds under the lateral and longitudinal loads generated by 35-inch tires and the increased suspension travel this system unlocks. Deaver mini packs are progressive-rate leaf assemblies that replace the factory overload and block with a more compliant initial rate that firms progressively under load — eliminating the harsh two-stage feel of the OEM rear spring stack while maintaining the load capacity required for towing and payload. All components are manufactured in the USA.

Verified Fitment (OFAS Standard)
✅ CONFIRMED — Standard Models (3" Front / 1–2" Rear Lift):
2019–2025 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Base, Custom, Custom Trail Boss, RST, LT, LT Trail Boss, LTZ, High Country, WT 2WD/4WD
2023–2025 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Base 2WD/4WD
2019–2025 GMC Sierra 1500 Base, SLE, Elevation, SLT, Denali 2WD/4WD
2022–2025 GMC Sierra 1500 Pro, Denali Ultimate 2WD/4WD
✅ CONFIRMED — AT4 & Trail Boss Models (1" Front / −1" to 0" Rear):
2019–2025 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4 4WD
2019–2025 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss 4WD
2019–2025 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Custom Trail Boss 4WD
Note: AT4 and Trail Boss models are factory 2" taller front and rear. This kit lifts the front 1" and sets the rear to maintain or reduce height by up to 1" via Deaver mini pack adjustability.
❌ REQUIREMENTS & CRITICAL NOTICES:
⚠️ ARC Adaptive Ride Control (Denali Models): Requires bypassing the factory ARC solenoids on the stock shocks before installation. ARC bypass hardware and instructions are included in the kit — this is a required step, not optional.
⚠️ Composite Mono-Leaf Rear Spring: Trucks equipped with a composite mono-leaf rear spring are not compatible with this kit. Verify rear spring configuration before ordering.
⚠️ 2025 Model Year: Requires the addition of the Leaf Spring Top Plate Conversion kit (sold separately) for proper rear installation on 2025 Silverado/Sierra 1500 models.
Requires front alignment immediately post-installation to reset caster and camber to specification.
Requires ADAS recalibration (adaptive cruise, forward collision alert, lane keep assist) after any ride height change exceeding 1 inch.
Installation & Technical Notes
Estimated Install Time: 7-Hour DIY Install (full front and rear system, with basic lift equipment, hand tools, and spring compressor)
Alignment Required: Yes — front caster and camber must be reset post-installation. Preferred caster: +3.5° to +4.5° for lifted applications; camber within ±0.5° of zero.
Torque Specifications: Refer to Cognito's included instruction sheet for all torque values — torque all suspension fasteners with the vehicle at ride height to prevent bushing wind-up.
DSC Adjuster Setup: Fox Dual Speed Compression adjusters should be set to the softest position initially and tuned incrementally based on load, tire size, and terrain preference. Refer to Fox's included tuning guide.
ARC Bypass (Denali): Follow Cognito's included bypass instructions precisely before removing factory shocks. Failure to bypass ARC solenoids before disconnecting stock shocks will trigger fault codes.
2025 Models: Order the Leaf Spring Top Plate Conversion before scheduling installation — the kit cannot be completed without it on 2025 model year trucks.
Wheel & Tire Fitment
