This is the factory-correct replacement bushing kit for those arms, sourced directly from Cognito, ensuring the pivot bushing interface is restored to spec without replacing the entire control arm. If your Cognito UCAs have grease fittings at the frame pivot, this is the kit. If your arms use the current press-in polyurethane bushing design, this kit does not apply.

Installation & Technical Notes

Scope: Bushing replacement at the UCA frame pivot — requires removal of the upper control arm from the vehicle to press out worn bushings and install new ones.
Press Required: A hydraulic or arbor press is required to remove and install pivot bushings. Do not attempt to drive bushings in or out with a hammer — this will damage the UCA pivot bore.
Grease After Install: After installation, grease the pivot bushings through the existing zerk fittings on the UCA until fresh grease purges from both ends of the bushing bore.
Alignment Required: Yes — a professional front alignment is required after reinstalling the upper control arm. Caster and camber must be verified and set to specification.
Torque Specifications: Torque all UCA mounting fasteners to GM specification with the suspension at ride height under load.
Re-Torque Interval: Re-torque all suspension fasteners after the first 500 miles post-installation.
