⚠️ T1 GENERATION ONLY (2020–2026): Engineered for the T1 generation Silverado/Sierra 2500HD/3500HD only. Not compatible with the K2 generation (2011–2019).
Traction bar length must be adjusted after installation with the suspension at ride height under load — do not set final length with the suspension unloaded or at full droop.
Re-torque all traction bar mounting fasteners after the first 500 miles post-installation.
Installation & Technical Notes
Estimated Install Time: 3-hour DIY install — with a 2-post lift or floor jack and stands, basic hand tools, and a torque wrench.
Length Adjustment: Adjust traction bar length with the suspension at ride height under load — not with the truck on a lift with the suspension at full droop. Incorrect length setting will cause bind at ride height or insufficient axle wrap resistance under load.
Split Adjuster Nuts: Tighten split adjuster nuts to lock bar length after final adjustment. Verify lock is secure before driving.
Fuel Tank Verification: Confirm your truck does not have S&B or Titan aftermarket fuel tanks installed before ordering. Contact the OFAS team if you are unsure.
Torque Specifications: Refer to Cognito's included instruction sheet for all fastener torque values — torque all fasteners with the suspension at ride height under load.

Wheel & Tire Fitment
This kit installs at the rear axle and frame and does not affect front suspension geometry, wheel offset, or front tire clearance. Rear wheel and tire clearance is determined by your installed rear lift height and leaf spring configuration.
