Alpha Ball Joint — engineering distinction: The Alpha joint delivers the articulation benefit of a uniball through full bump and droop travel without the contamination vulnerability an open uniball carries in daily driving. Cognito's protective housing uses zinc corrosion-resistant plating and a durable grease seal to keep contaminants out. The metal-on-metal, greaseable design promotes long-lasting performance. This is the standard joint included with 110-91399.
FK 7/8" PTFE-lined rod ends: The frame-side pivot uses FK precision rod ends — PTFE lined for low-friction operation across the full range of suspension travel. Unlike rubber bushings, the rod end design enables the camber and caster adjustability that makes proper post-lift alignment possible.
Optional Delta Joint upgrade: Cognito's Delta Joint is available as an upgrade — increased durability over standard uniballs with greater articulation than conventional ball joints. Not included standard with 110-91399. Text (469) 407-7538 for availability.

Critical Compatibility
1500 only — HD trucks require separate arms. The Silverado/Sierra 1500 and 2500HD/3500HD share the same cab styling on the T1 platform but use completely different front suspension geometry. The 110-91399 is dimensioned for the 1500 front spindle and frame mounting geometry. Installing these on an HD truck produces arms that will not fit.
2019+ T1 platform only. The 2018 and earlier Silverado/Sierra 1500 (K2 and GMT900) use a different front suspension architecture. These arms are specific to the T1 platform that launched in 2019.
Yukon / Yukon XL — non-air-ride only. Cognito's vehicle navigation explicitly separates Yukon applications by suspension type. Air-ride-equipped Yukon and Yukon XL trucks are excluded. Tahoe and Suburban do not carry this restriction. Before ordering for a Yukon or Yukon XL, confirm the truck does not have factory air ride suspension — check the window sticker or option codes for the Magnetic Ride Control or air suspension package.
ARC-equipped trucks install the same way — with one transfer step. On Denali and other ARC-equipped 1500s, the factory ARC sensor arm post bolts to the factory UCA. That post transfers to the Cognito arm during installation — Cognito confirmed and designed for this. No additional hardware or modification required.
Lift height range is wide. Confirmed for stock replacement through 12 inches of Cognito lift kit. Camber and caster adjustability benefits any build at any height — even a stock-height installation gains corrected ball joint angle and improved droop travel.

Installation Notes
Skill level: Intermediate — bolt-on, no cutting or welding. Estimated installation time approximately 2 hours for experienced DIY builders. Professional installation recommended for alignment-critical work.
Tools required: Standard hand tools and socket set, torque wrench, ball joint press or separator tool. Alignment shop access required after installation.
ARC sensor arm transfer: On ARC-equipped trucks, the factory ARC sensor arm post must be transferred from the factory UCA to the Cognito arm before installation. Post swaps directly — no additional hardware required.
Critical torque warning: Do NOT use an impact tool when securing the ball joint stud to the spindle. Torque the ball joint stud with a standard torque wrench only. Impact tool use risks damage to the ball joint taper seat and can produce premature ball joint failure.
Fender trimming note: Running 35" tires on Silverado, 34" on Sierra, or 33" on GM SUV platforms may require minor fender trimming and modifications. Confirm clearance at full articulation and full steering lock before finalizing tire selection.
Post-installation alignment is mandatory. The camber and caster adjustability built into these arms delivers full geometry benefit only after a professional alignment dials in both values for your specific lift height and use profile.
Common Questions
What's the difference between the 110-91399 Billet UCA and the Cognito SM Series UCA?
Construction and pivot type. The SM Series uses tubular or stamped steel arms with polyurethane bushings. The 110-91399 Billet kit is CNC machined from 6061 aluminum — lighter and stronger — with PTFE-lined FK 7/8" rod ends at the frame pivot for precision camber and caster adjustability. The billet arms include the Alpha ball joint as standard. The billet kit is the premium tier in Cognito's 1500 UCA lineup.
Does this fit my Denali with Adaptive Ride Control?
Yes — confirmed compatible with all ARC-equipped 1500 trucks including all Denali models. The factory ARC sensor arm post transfers to the Cognito arm during installation. No additional hardware required.
My Yukon has air ride — does this fit?
No. Cognito's vehicle navigation explicitly separates Yukon applications as non-air-ride. Air-ride-equipped Yukon and Yukon XL trucks are excluded from the confirmed fitment for 110-91399. Text (469) 407-7538 with your Yukon's build details and we'll confirm the correct product before you order.
What is the Alpha ball joint and is it greaseable?
The Alpha ball joint is Cognito's patented joint combining ball joint-style articulation with greater strength and a sealed housing. It is greaseable — periodic greasing maintains long-term performance. The Alpha joint includes zinc corrosion-resistant plating and a durable grease seal to keep contaminants out. Text (469) 407-7538 for the recommended service interval.
What is the optional ICON Delta Joint and why would I want it?
The Delta Joint is an upgrade over the standard Alpha ball joint — increased durability over standard uniballs, greater articulation than conventional ball joints. It is not included standard in the 110-91399 kit. It is an available upgrade for aggressive off-road or high-cycle applications. Text (469) 407-7538 for current availability and pricing.
Do these work at stock height?
Yes — confirmed as both a stock-height OE replacement upgrade and a lifted application arm. Corrected ball joint angle, improved droop travel, and camber/caster adjustability benefit any build regardless of lift height.
Do I need an alignment after installation?
Yes — mandatory. The adjustable rod ends allow camber and caster correction but require a professional alignment to set both values correctly for your specific lift height and use case.
The Obsidian Take
The 110-91399 is Cognito's premium billet upper control arm for the 2019–2026 Silverado/Sierra 1500 and 2021–2026 GM SUVs — CNC machined from 6061 aluminum, finished in black anodize, with PTFE-lined FK rod ends at the frame pivot and the Alpha ball joint installed standard.
The Alpha ball joint is the component that differentiates this from conventional UCA upgrades. Factory ball joints and basic pressed-in replacements bind at the extreme angles that lifted suspension creates — geometry outside their design envelope. The Alpha joint operates correctly through the full bump-to-droop travel range without bind, using a zinc-plated, grease-sealed housing that addresses the contamination problem that makes open uniballs a maintenance liability on daily-driven trucks.
The FK rod end at the frame side is the other engineering decision worth understanding. Rubber bushings compress and return — they don't pivot. A rubber bushing UCA fights small suspension inputs rather than flowing with them. The rod end pivots freely and precisely, which is also what allows the camber and caster adjustment that makes correct post-lift alignment possible.
The Yukon air ride exclusion is worth calling out explicitly for SUV buyers. Tahoe and Suburban don't carry this restriction — but Yukon and Yukon XL buyers need to confirm their suspension type before ordering. Air-ride-equipped Yukons are excluded from this kit's confirmed fitment. Non-air-ride Yukon and Yukon XL trucks through 2026 are confirmed.
For Denali owners: ARC compatibility is explicitly confirmed by Cognito. The sensor arm post transfers during installation. There is no reason to pass on this upgrade based on ARC equipment.
This SKU is for: 2019–2026 Silverado/Sierra 1500 2WD/4WD owners and 2021–2026 GM SUV owners (Tahoe, Suburban, and non-air-ride Yukon/Yukon XL) who want the premium billet aluminum UCA upgrade with Alpha ball joint, PTFE-lined FK rod ends, adjustable camber and caster, and ARC compatibility — at any lift height from stock through 12 inches.
This SKU is NOT for: Silverado/Sierra 2500HD or 3500HD owners (separate Cognito HD kit required), 2018 and earlier 1500 owners (different platform), Yukon/Yukon XL owners with factory air ride (excluded from confirmed fitment), or anyone planning to skip the post-installation alignment.
