Description
⚠️ 2025–2026 Models: The Leaf Spring Top Plate Conversion Kit is required for installation on 2025–2026 Silverado/Sierra 1500. Add it to your order before checkout or contact the OFAS team to confirm your build.
The Obsidian Vision
Eight inches of front lift and six inches of rear lift on the 2019–2026 T1 Silverado and Sierra 1500 — the Cognito 8-Inch Performance Lift Kit with Elka 2.0 IFP Shocks delivers the complete system without compromise. SM Series Ball Joint Upper Control Arms correct the ball joint angle and maintain adequate droop travel at the elevated ride height. The Deaver 6-inch progressive-rate leaf pack replaces the factory rear spring pack, delivering 6 inches of rear lift with improved ride quality over the OEM setup. Elka 2.0 IFP shocks front and rear use an Internal Floating Piston design to eliminate oil aeration, reduce cabin noise, and optimize damping for on-road and off-road use. Stainless steel extended brake lines accommodate the increased suspension travel. All Cognito components engineered, manufactured, and assembled in the USA.
Concierge Fitment Guarantee
Every order is manually reviewed by our technicians to ensure 100% compatibility with your build before we ship.
Engineering Breakdown
- Lifts the front 8 inches via SM Series Ball Joint UCAs — CNC robot-welded boxed sheet metal arms, semi-gloss black powder coat, pre-installed ball joints with new crush sleeves and polyurethane bushings — correcting the ball joint angle and improving allowable droop travel for superior ride quality at the elevated ride height on the T1 Silverado/Sierra 1500 platform, with corrected CV joint angles eliminating the binding and accelerated wear that factory control arms produce at 8 inches of lift.
- Delivers 6 inches of rear lift through the Deaver progressive-rate leaf pack — a complete OEM replacement rear spring pack arched for 6 inches of lift over stock height, with a progressive spring rate that rides better empty and builds load resistance under tow and haul loads — paired with stainless steel extended brake lines that accommodate the increased rear suspension travel range.
- Optimizes front and rear damping through Elka 2.0 IFP shocks — Internal Floating Piston design that separates the oil and nitrogen gas charges to eliminate oil aeration and fade, reducing cabin noise (squeak and rattle), improving washboard and square-edge impact absorption, reducing front-end dive under braking, reducing rear-end bucking under load, and increasing damping and spring rate for towing and hauling stability.
The SM Series Ball Joint UCAs use CNC robot-welded boxed sheet metal construction with semi-gloss black powder coat and pre-installed ball joints, new crush sleeves, and polyurethane bushings. The Deaver 6-inch leaf pack uses high-quality progressive-rate spring steel as a complete OEM replacement — not a lift block, not an add-a-leaf — delivering 6 inches of rear lift with improved ride quality over the factory spring pack. The Elka 2.0 IFP shock's Internal Floating Piston design maintains a constant separation between the oil and nitrogen gas charges, preventing oil aeration under sustained use and maintaining consistent, factory-tuned precision valving performance. At 656 lbs, this kit ships via LTL freight carrier with residential delivery included.

❌ REQUIREMENTS & CRITICAL NOTICES:
⚠️ 2025–2026 MODELS — ADDITIONAL PART REQUIRED: The Leaf Spring Top Plate Conversion Kit is required for installation on 2025–2026 Silverado/Sierra 1500. This kit does not include the top plate conversion. Contact the OFAS team to add it to your order before shipping.
⚠️ 4WD CV FRONT DRIVELINE REQUIRED: On 4WD models, a CV front driveline is required if operating in 4WD above 20 mph at 8 inches of front lift. The factory front driveline U-joint operating angles exceed safe limits at this lift height in 4WD engagement above 20 mph. This is a required supporting modification — not optional.
⚠️ ARC BYPASS REQUIRED — DENALI MODELS: This kit requires bypassing the ARC (Adaptive Ride Control) system on 1500 Denali models. Failure to bypass ARC before installation will result in system faults and degraded ride control behavior. Contact the OFAS team for ARC bypass guidance before ordering if your truck is equipped with ARC.
⚠️ T1 GENERATION ONLY (2019–2026): Engineered for the T1 generation Silverado/Sierra 1500 only. Not compatible with the previous K2 generation (2014–2018).
Requires front alignment immediately post-installation — caster and camber correction is critical at 8 inches of front lift before any driving.
Requires ADAS recalibration if equipped with forward collision alert, lane departure warning, or adaptive cruise control.
Installation & Technical Notes
Estimated Install Time: 13-hour DIY install — with a 2-post lift, comprehensive hand tools, torque wrench, and alignment appointment scheduled immediately after installation.
2025–2026 Models: Order the Leaf Spring Top Plate Conversion Kit before installation. Contact the OFAS team to confirm this is included in your order.
CV Front Driveline: Required on 4WD models for operation above 20 mph in 4WD. Install before operating in 4WD at highway speeds.
ARC Bypass (Denali): The ARC Adaptive Ride Control system must be bypassed before installation on Denali-equipped models. Contact the OFAS team for bypass procedure guidance.
Alignment Required: Yes — professional front alignment is mandatory immediately after installation.
ADAS Recalibration: Models equipped with forward collision alert, lane departure warning, or adaptive cruise control require front camera and radar recalibration after installation.
Torque Specifications: Refer to Cognito's included instruction sheet for all component torque values — torque all fasteners with the suspension at ride height under load.
Re-Torque Interval: Re-torque all suspension fasteners after the first 500 miles of driving post-installation.
Shipping Notice: At 656 lbs, this kit ships via LTL freight carrier. Residential delivery is included. A delivery appointment will be scheduled by the carrier.
Wheel & Tire Fitment
Maximum Confirmed Tire Size: 37x12.5" on a 10-inch wide wheel — verified clearance with this kit at 8 inches of front lift and 6 inches of rear lift on the 2019–2026 T1 Silverado/Sierra 1500 platform.
Contact the OFAS team to verify inner fender clearance and offset requirements for your specific cab, bed, and fender configuration before finalizing wheel and tire selection.
Our team is standing by to verify your 2025–2026 top plate requirement, CV driveline need, ARC configuration, and wheel and tire setup for your 8-inch Performance build. Purchase with confidence; we review every build.
