Flange tab distinction: Unlike the engine and gas tank skid hardware kits, the transfer case skid hardware includes a flange tab that secures the passenger-side edge of the skid plate. This flange tab requires drilling one 1/2" hole on the passenger side of the JK. This is the only hardware kit in the Clayton JK skid system that includes a structural tab requiring drilling. It is also the reason this hardware kit cannot be interchanged with engine or gas tank skid hardware.

Installation Notes
Skill level: Beginner for hardware replacement. The flange tab installation requires a drill and 1/2" bit — confirm drilling capability before ordering.
Tools required: Socket set, torque wrench, drill with 1/2" bit (for passenger-side flange tab hole if not already drilled).
Drilling note: If replacing hardware on an existing installation where the 1/2" passenger-side hole has already been drilled, the flange tab installs directly into the existing hole. If the hole has not yet been drilled — such as when installing the plate-only COR-4108114 for the first time — drilling the hole is a required step before the flange tab can be installed.

The engine and gas tank skid plates use existing mounting points only. The flange tab and the 1/2" hole requirement are specific to the transfer case skid position.
