Does NOT fit:
- 2019–2026 Jeep Wrangler JL — different platform entirely; see the JL Overland+ kit
- Jeep Gladiator JT — different wheelbase and suspension geometry; see the JT Overland+ kit
- Jeep Wrangler TJ / LJ — different suspension architecture
2-Door net lift note: 2-door JK models will see approximately 1 inch more lift than the advertised 3.5" due to lighter vehicle weight — net lift on a 2-door is approximately 4.5". Plan wheel and tire clearance accordingly and verify fender clearance with your specific tire size and wheel offset.
2012–2018 exhaust spacer note: 2012 and newer JK models require an exhaust spacer due to exhaust routing changes during that production run. This spacer is available in the related items. Do not install this kit on a 2012–2018 JK without the exhaust spacer.

Overland+ vs. Ride Right+: Clayton's JK Overland+ includes all 8 control arms — upper and lower, front and rear — all adjustable with GIIRO joints. Clayton's Ride Right+ includes only the upper control arms. The Overland+ gives you full caster, pinion angle, and axle centering adjustability across all four corners; the Ride Right+ gives you upper arm GIIRO joints at a lower cost. If full geometry control at 3.5" with 35–36" tires is the goal, the Overland+ is the correct tier.

| Installation hardware |
Shocks: This kit does not include shocks. Clayton's JK Overland+ is designed to pair with premium shock absorbers — Bilstein 5100, Fox 2.0, and Falcon SP2 3.1 are common companion choices on this kit. Source shocks before installation begins.
Front CV driveshaft: At 3.5" of lift, the front driveshaft angle becomes a meaningful driver of vibration and u-joint wear on the stock driveshaft. Clayton explicitly states the front CV driveshaft is "highly recommended" at this lift height. Budget for this separately if you haven't already.
Critical Compatibility
Three platform-specific details that determine correct installation:
The 2-door net lift reality. The 3.5" springs in this kit are engineered for the 4-door JK's weight. A 2-door JK is lighter, so the springs settle higher — approximately 1 additional inch, netting approximately 4.5" of actual lift on a 2-door. This affects fender clearance, bump stop geometry, and your maximum tire size without additional trimming. Plan accordingly before ordering.
The 2012–2018 exhaust spacer requirement. Jeep changed the exhaust routing on the JK in 2012. Without the exhaust spacer, the lift kit installation creates interference with the exhaust system on these model years. The spacer is available through Clayton's related items — it is not optional on 2012–2018 trucks.
JL and JT are different platforms. The JK Overland+ is platform-specific. If you have a 2019+ Wrangler (JL) or a Gladiator (JT), this kit does not apply — Clayton makes Overland+ kits for those platforms under different SKUs.
| Scenario | Result |
|---|---|
| 2007–2018 JK Wrangler (2-Door) — 3.5" kit | Confirmed fit — net ~4.5" actual lift |
| 2007–2018 JK Wrangler Unlimited (4-Door) — 3.5" kit | Confirmed fit — net ~3.5" actual lift |
| 2012–2018 JK — without exhaust spacer | Do not install — spacer required |
| 2019+ JL Wrangler | Does NOT fit — different platform |
| Jeep Gladiator JT | Does NOT fit — different wheelbase |
| 35–36" tire target (4-door) | Confirmed fitment range |
| 35–36" tire target (2-door / ~4.5" net) | Verify fender clearance with your specific offset and backspacing |
| Front CV driveshaft not sourced | Highly recommended — source before installation |
| Shocks not sourced | Order before installation begins |
Installation Notes
Skill level: Intermediate to advanced — 8 arms to remove, install, and align. Full 4-wheel alignment required post-installation. Recommend professional installation if control arm alignment and pinion/caster correction are outside your experience.
Tools required: Standard suspension hand tools, torque wrench, spring compressor, jack and rated stands, alignment shop access (required post-install).
Before beginning:
- Shocks sourced and on hand
- Front CV-style driveshaft sourced and on hand (highly recommended)
- Exhaust spacer on hand if 2012–2018 model year
- Alignment shop appointment scheduled
Installation sequence:
- Install coil springs (front first, then rear).
- Install all 8 control arms — set initial length to factory specification, fine-tune during alignment.
- Install adjustable front and rear track bars — center the axle under the vehicle.
- Install adjustable sway bar links — restore proper sway bar geometry at ride height.
- Install bump stops.
- Install shocks.
- Install front CV-style driveshaft if sourced.
- Install exhaust spacer if 2012–2018 model year.
- Perform full 4-wheel alignment — adjust all 8 arms for caster, pinion angle, and axle centering. Use a shop with lifted JK experience and the ability to work with multi-arm adjustability.
- Re-torque all fasteners after 100–200 miles of break-in driving.
Common Questions
What's the difference between the Overland+ and the Ride Right+?
Control arm coverage. The Ride Right+ includes upper control arms with GIIRO joints. The Overland+ includes all 8 control arms — upper and lower, front and rear — all adjustable with GIIRO joints. The Overland+ gives you full caster, pinion angle, and axle centering adjustability across every arm. For a 3.5" build targeting 35–36" tires with proper geometry, the Overland+ is the correct tier.
My JK is a 2-door — will I actually get 3.5" of lift?
No — you'll get approximately 4.5". The springs are engineered for the 4-door JK's weight. A 2-door is lighter so they settle higher. This is documented by Clayton on the product page. Plan your fender clearance and tire size for the actual net lift, not the advertised 3.5".
My JK is a 2016 — do I need anything extra?
Yes — the exhaust spacer. All 2012–2018 JK models require an exhaust spacer due to exhaust routing changes in that production run. It's available in the related items tab. Do not install this kit without it.
Are shocks included?
No. The Overland+ does not include shocks. Source them before installation — Bilstein 5100, Fox 2.0, and Falcon SP2 3.1 are commonly paired with this kit on JK builds.
Does the front CV driveshaft matter at 3.5"?
Clayton explicitly states it's "highly recommended" at 3.5". At this lift height, the increased driveshaft angle generates vibration and accelerates u-joint wear on the stock driveshaft. Budget for a front CV driveshaft alongside this kit.
Will this fit my 2019 Wrangler?
No — the 2019+ Wrangler is the JL platform, which is a completely different vehicle. Clayton makes a JL-specific Overland+ kit under a different SKU.
The Obsidian Take
The COR-3008035 is the complete geometry solution for the JK at 3.5" — and the definitive answer to the question of why you'd pay more for the Overland+ when the Ride Right+ exists.
Eight adjustable GIIRO arms mean you control every angle in the suspension: front caster, front pinion, rear pinion, and axle centering on all four corners. At 3.5" with 35–36" tires on a daily-driven JK, those corrections matter. Caster angle affects steering returnability and stability at highway speed. Pinion angle affects driveshaft vibration under power. Axle centering affects tire clearance and steering symmetry. The Ride Right+ with upper arms only gives you partial geometry control. The Overland+ gives you all of it.
The GIIRO joint selection is what makes this system work as both a daily driver and a trail truck. Dual-durometer construction isolates road vibration and NVH while maintaining the articulation compliance needed off-road. You're not choosing between on-road comfort and off-road flex — GIIRO delivers both without maintenance.
The 2-door net lift note is not a caveat — it's a real build consideration. A 2-door JK at 3.5" springs will sit at approximately 4.5" actual lift. That's a good thing if you're planning for it, and a clearance problem if you're not. Know your configuration before ordering.
This SKU is for: 2007–2018 JK owners (2-door and 4-door) targeting 35–36" tires and 3.5" of lift who want full 8-arm geometry adjustability and a maintenance-free GIIRO suspension system that performs equally on the highway and the trail.
This SKU is NOT for: JL Wrangler owners (different platform), JT Gladiator owners (different platform), JK owners targeting less than 33" tires (Ride Right+ is more appropriate and lower cost), anyone who doesn't have or hasn't planned for a front CV driveshaft, or 2012–2018 JK owners who haven't sourced the required exhaust spacer.
