Description
Is This for You?
- You're building or repairing a Clayton Off Road lower control arm that uses a GIIRO bushing and need a replacement or additional steel housing to press the bushing into. This is the steel outer housing that the GIIRO bushing seats inside — not the bushing itself.
- You need the housing to match the GIIRO bushing OD of 2.125" and fit into a control arm tube or bracket with a 2.750" bore. Confirm your control arm housing bore and bushing OD before ordering — dimensional fit is the only compatibility check for this component.
- You're fabricating a custom lower control arm to Clayton Off Road's GIIRO bushing system dimensions. This housing gives you the correct steel shell to build around the GIIRO dual-durometer bushing at the lower control arm position.
The Result
- Steel construction — machined steel outer housing provides the structural shell for the GIIRO bushing at the lower control arm mounting position; resists deformation under the lateral and longitudinal loads at this location.
- Precision dimensions: 2.750" OD / 2.125" ID / 1.750" width — machined to accept the GIIRO bushing at the ID and press or weld into the control arm tube or bracket at the OD.
- Designed for the GIIRO dual-durometer bushing system — the 2.125" ID is sized to accept the GIIRO bushing used in Clayton Off Road's lower control arm lineup; self-lubricating, self-centering, maintenance-free bushing operation once assembled.
The COR-2300107 is Clayton Off Road's steel lower control arm housing for the GIIRO bushing system. The GIIRO bushing is a dual-durometer design — a harder outer ring for structural load transfer and a softer inner element for vibration isolation and articulation compliance. This steel housing is the outer shell that the GIIRO bushing presses into; the housing is then pressed or welded into the control arm tube or bracket at the lower control arm mounting position. Dimensional specs: 2.750" OD (housing outer diameter, interfaces with control arm bore), 2.125" ID (bushing seat, accepts GIIRO bushing OD), 1.750" width (housing depth). These dimensions must match your control arm design — verify all three before ordering. This is a replacement and fabrication component; it is not a complete bushing assembly.

Verified Fitment (OFAS Standard)
Compatible With:
- ✅ Clayton Off Road lower control arms using GIIRO bushing system with 2.750" housing bore
- ✅ Custom fabricated lower control arms designed to accept a 2.750" OD housing and 2.125" ID GIIRO bushing
- ✅ Replacement housing for worn or damaged lower control arm GIIRO bushing housings matching these dimensions
Does NOT Fit:
- ❌ Upper control arm GIIRO bushing positions — different housing dimensions; verify OD, ID, and width against your specific upper arm spec
- ❌ Control arm bores other than 2.750" — housing OD must match the bore it presses or welds into
- ❌ Non-GIIRO bushing systems — the 2.125" ID is sized for the GIIRO bushing OD specifically
Installation & Fabrication Notes
- Verify all three dimensions (2.750" OD, 2.125" ID, 1.750" width) match your control arm design before pressing or welding the housing in place.
- Press housing into control arm bore using a hydraulic press — ensure housing is square to the bore axis before pressing fully seated.
- If welding the housing into a fabricated arm, verify square alignment before tacking, then fully weld after confirming position.
- Press GIIRO bushing into housing ID after housing is installed and any welds have cooled — heat distortion from welding can affect the 2.125" ID dimension.
- Do not use a hammer directly on the housing face during installation — use a press plate or driver sized to the housing OD to avoid deforming the housing.

Wheel & Tire Fitment
Not applicable — this is a fabrication and replacement component. Fitment is determined by dimensional compatibility with your control arm design, not vehicle wheel or tire selection.
Engineering Question: What are the housing bore dimensions on your lower control arm, and are you using the GIIRO bushing system? Confirm the control arm bore accepts a 2.750" OD housing and that your GIIRO bushing OD is 2.125" before ordering. This is the housing only — the GIIRO bushing is sold separately.
