What does a 5" wheelbase stretch actually mean for the build?
The rear axle physically moves 5 inches rearward from its factory location. This creates more room for longer rear control arms — reducing suspension angles and increasing rear axle travel beyond what a standard-length long arm kit can achieve. However, moving the rear axle 5" rearward also means the rear driveshaft is 5" shorter than needed and must be extended or replaced, the rear wheel wells and fenders are now in different positions relative to the tires and must be modified, and the body fitment at the rear changes. This is a comprehensive build modification that touches suspension, driveline, exhaust, and body simultaneously.

Why does moving the rear axle require a front CV driveshaft with SYE kit?
