Wheelbase and installation complexity. COR-4805017 (this kit) maintains the factory wheelbase — the rear axle stays in its factory position. No welding, no custom exhaust, no body modifications, no custom rear driveshaft. COR-4805302 moves the rear axle 5" rearward, allowing longer control arms and greater rear travel, but requires weld-on brackets, custom exhaust, body and fender modifications, and a custom-length rear driveshaft. If maximum rear articulation through a stretched configuration is the build goal, COR-4805302 is correct. If a significant improvement over short arm geometry without fabrication requirements is the goal, COR-4805017 is correct.

What is the difference between this and COR-4807003 (LJ rear bolt-on long arm)?
Platform coverage. COR-4807003 is LJ Unlimited only (2004–2006). COR-4805017 covers both the TJ (1997–2006) and the LJ Unlimited (2004–2006). Both are bolt-on, no-weld rear long arm kits with the same joint and axle truss specifications. If your vehicle is a 1997–2003 TJ (2-door), COR-4807003 does not apply — COR-4805017 is the correct kit.

Why does the axle truss need to be installed before the control arms?
