Verified Fitment

This system fits the 2019 and newer Ram 1500 in Rebel and Off-Road Package trims with a coil-spring front suspension. It is engineered specifically for trucks carrying a constant front load of approximately 500 lb — a roof tent, rack system, contractor shell, or equivalent weight that stays on the truck. Without that constant load, the HD rear coils will sit the truck high and ride firmer than intended.

EcoDiesel note: Carli's published lift figures are based on Hemi-equipped trucks. EcoDiesel-equipped 1500s — including Rebel and Off-Road trims — will see approximately ½" less front lift than stated due to the diesel engine's additional front weight.

Multi-Function Tailgate and RamBox note: The HD coil springs are specifically appropriate for Rebel/Off-Road trucks equipped with Multi-Function Tailgate, RamBox, or both — these factory options add significant unsprung weight. If your Rebel has MFT and/or RamBox but no additional bed load beyond 500 lb, the HD coils are still the correct choice. Lift figures will deviate slightly with these options present.

Installation Notes

Skill level: Advanced. This is a complete suspension system replacement — coilovers, UCAs, rear coils, rear piggyback shocks, extended sway bar end links, and brake lines. A qualified suspension shop with 2019+ Ram 1500 experience is required. This is not a task for a general mechanic or home garage without the correct equipment.

Post-install alignment: Full front-end alignment is mandatory after installation. The truck must not be driven at highway speed until alignment is completed. Budget for alignment service when planning total project cost.

Driveline geometry: At approximately 2" to 2.5" of front lift with new UCAs and performance coils, confirm caster, camber, toe, and U-joint operating angles with your alignment shop after installation.

Critical installation warning — rear shocks: The King 2.5" rear piggyback shocks included in this system are longer than factory rear coil springs can accommodate. Installing only the rear shocks without the Carli HD rear coil springs will cause the factory rear springs to fall out of the truck. The complete system must be installed together. No partial installation.

Common Questions

What is the difference between this system and the standard Rebel Performance 2.5 (CS-RAM15PERF25-RBL-19)?
The only hardware difference is the rear coil spring. The standard Rebel Performance system uses Rebel-spec coils tuned for the Rebel's factory ride height and unloaded weight. The HD version uses heavier rear coils tuned for a constant approximately 500 lb load — a roof rack and tent, contractor equipment, camper shell, or similar weight that stays on the truck. If your truck carries that kind of permanent load, HD coils are the correct choice. Without that load, HD coils will push the rear higher than intended and ride firmer than the standard system.

Does this fit a Rebel with the Multi-Function Tailgate or RamBox?
Yes — the HD coils are appropriate for Rebels equipped with Multi-Function Tailgate, RamBox, or both. Carli specifically tested the HD springs on a Rebel with both MFT and RamBox and confirmed proper ride height. The added weight of these factory options is within the HD spring's design range.

Can I run factory Air-Ride on this truck?
No. This system is designed exclusively for the coil-spring front suspension. The 2019+ Ram 1500 Rebel is available with factory Air-Ride on certain configurations — confirm your front suspension type before ordering. If your truck has Air-Ride, this system will not install.

Is a front-end alignment really required after installation?
Yes, without exception. Any time ride height and major suspension geometry components change — including UCAs, coilovers, and spring rates — a full alignment is required before highway driving. Skipping alignment causes accelerated and uneven tire wear and affects handling and braking.

What tire size does this system support?
Carli's own build uses 35" x 12.5" tires on 18" x 9" wheels with 4.5" backspace (approximately -12mm offset), requiring minimal trimming. A 35" x 12.5" square-profile tire requires slightly more trimming. Cold tire pressure of 35 psi front and 30 psi rear is recommended when the truck is unloaded.

What if I install only the rear shocks without the Carli rear coil springs?
Do not do this. The King 2.5" rear piggyback shocks in this system are significantly longer than the factory rear coil spring perch allows. Installing the rear shocks without the Carli HD rear coils will cause the factory rear springs to lose their seating and fall out of the truck — a serious safety failure. The complete system must be installed together.

The Obsidian Take

This system is for the 2019-and-newer Ram 1500 Rebel or Off-Road Package owner who has committed to a permanent constant load — roof rack and tent, contractor shell, heavy auxiliary lighting array, or similar equipment that stays on the truck — and wants King 2.5" remote reservoir coilover performance tuned specifically for that configuration. The HD rear coils are what make this system different from the standard Rebel Performance 2.5, and they only work correctly when that load is present.

It is not for the Rebel owner with a stock build and no heavy constant front or bed load — that truck takes CS-RAM15PERF25-RBL-19, and the standard Rebel coils will sit and ride correctly without the added spring rate. It is not for standard trim 1500 owners — Rebel-specific geometry is not compatible with non-Rebel/non-Off-Road suspension architecture. And it is not a bolt-on weekend job — this is a full suspension system requiring a qualified shop, coilover-specific tools, and a mandatory post-install alignment.

The Performance 2.5 HD delivers what the stock Rebel suspension was engineered to approach but cannot reach under load: active damping control, extended wheel travel, and geometry that holds its intended ride height and handling character when the truck is working.
