It is Carli's most popular Ram HD system and their self-described "Jack-of-all-trades" platform — purpose-built for the buyer who wants substantial on-road ride improvement and meaningful off-road capability without the complexity or cost of the Unchained or Dominator-level builds.

R1 vs. R2 — the single most important configuration decision: If the truck regularly carries more than 1,500 lb of bed load or the owner wants maximum rear lift (2"–3"), R2 is correct. If the owner prioritizes the softest unloaded rear ride and stays under 1,500 lb of bed load, R1 is correct. Carli provides a detailed comparison article for this decision.

Billet Drops preserve the factory sway bar stiffness — correct only for snow plow, in-bed camper, or constant-capacity-hauling buyers. Most owners should select the Torsion Sway Bar. Skill level: Intermediate to advanced. This is a complete front and rear suspension system with multiple geometry correction components. A qualified shop with Ram HD suspension experience is required.

Post-install alignment: Full front-end alignment is mandatory after installation.

What is the difference between R1 and R2 rear coils?
R1 coils provide 0.5"–1" of rear lift with a softer spring rate — excellent unloaded ride quality, max 1,500 lb bed load. R2 coils provide 2"–3" of rear lift and maintain factory payload capacity, rated for 800 lb constant payload on heavier trucks and more on lighter configurations. The right choice depends on how you use the truck. If you tow and haul close to capacity regularly, R2. If you prioritize the best unloaded ride and don't carry heavy constant loads, R1. Do I need the Extended Rear Track Bar or just the drop bracket?
The drop bracket (included in base) minimizes rear yaw. The Extended Rear Track Bar effectively eliminates it. At 3"–3.5" of front lift, rear yaw is more pronounced than at stock height, and the extended track bar is the more complete solution. If your primary use is on-road hauling and towing, the drop bracket is adequate. If you want the most composed and predictable handling both on and off-road, the Extended Rear Track Bar is the better investment.

Do I need the Torsion Sway Bar?
For most buyers, yes. Carli calls the Torsion Sway Bar their single best bang-for-the-buck ride quality upgrade. It replaces the factory sway bar assembly entirely with a torsion bar, fabricated drop brackets, Delrin bushings, and FK heim end links — the result is improved ride quality on and off-road. The Billet Sway Bar Drop Brackets preserve the factory sway bar stiffness and are only appropriate for buyers who need that stiffness (snow plow, in-bed camper, constant-capacity haulers).

What tire size will this system fit?
Up to 37" x 12.5" with factory radius arms, 9" wide wheels at 5.75"–6" backspacing, with minor trimming. A 37" x 13.5" requires more trimming and slight additional offset. A 35" tire fits with minimal or no trimming. Carli recommends 18" diameter wheels and E-rated tires at 45 psi front / 40 psi rear when unloaded.

What is the warranty?
Carli provides a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects to the original purchaser, with proof of purchase at Carli's retail price required. Wear items excluded.
