Critical Compatibility

Three trucks, three different generation splits — read all three before ordering.

Nissan Frontier — The most misunderstood fitment on this SKU. The 70x41 platform is sized for the D40 second-generation Frontier (2005–2021) with the King Cab and 6.1-foot bed. The Crew Cab Frontier in most trim configurations came with a 5-foot bed and is incompatible. When the third-generation Frontier launched for 2022, Nissan redesigned the platform — Bedslide has not confirmed a direct-fit for the 2022+ Frontier at the 70x41 size. If you have a 2022 or newer Frontier, do not assume this is your SKU.

Colorado / Canyon — Generation split applies here too. The 6-foot bed option on the Colorado / Canyon was only available starting in 2015 with the second-generation redesign. First-generation Colorado / Canyon (2004–2012) used a different bed width and rail system entirely and will not accept this platform.

Bed liner warning: Bedslide explicitly states that installation over bed liners is not recommended, as adjustments may be necessary and liner thickness varies. If you have a spray-in or drop-in liner, plan on removal or contact us before ordering.

Installation Notes

Skill level: Beginner to intermediate — manageable as a two-person job.

Estimated time: 1 hour.

Tools required: Basic hand tools (socket set / wrench). No drilling required on standard steel bed applications.

Bed liner requirement: Remove bed liner before installation. Bedslide does not recommend installation over liners — thickness variation across liner brands creates mounting inconsistency and can compromise the slide's alignment and performance under load.

Installation method options:

1. Standard bolt-in (all three vehicles): Mounts to existing bed rail anchor points. No drilling required in most standard configurations.
2. No-drill factory mount kit — Colorado / Canyon only: BSA-GM5871 uses factory tie-down anchor points. Must be purchased separately. Confirmed fit: 2015–2022 Colorado / Canyon 6-foot bed. Not available for Nissan Frontier — use standard bolt-in method.

Two-person recommendation: At 73 lb, this is manageable but significantly easier with a second person during initial placement and alignment.

Clearance check: Confirm at least 4.5 inches of vertical clearance if running a tonneau cover or truck cap. The WeatherDeck surface sits 4.5 inches above the bed floor. Measure before ordering your cover or the slide — whichever comes second.

Common Questions

What's the difference between the 10-7041-CLS and the 10-7142-CLS?
One inch in length (70" vs. 71") and one inch in width (41" vs. 42"). The 10-7041-CLS is the correct platform for the Nissan Frontier D40 and Colorado / Canyon applications. The 10-7142-CLS is sized for the Colorado / Canyon only and uses the same bed length range but a slightly wider platform. Both are 1,000 lb Classic tier. If you have a Frontier, 10-7041-CLS is your SKU.

What's the difference between this SKU and 10-7041-CLB?
Finish only. The 10-7041-CLS is silver. The 10-7041-CLB is black. All dimensions, capacity, and specifications are identical.

Does the slide extend all the way out past the tailgate?
No. The Classic operates at 75% (¾) extension. It extends far enough to reach every part of your load from beside the tailgate without climbing in — but it does not travel fully past the tailgate plane. If full extension past the tailgate is required, look at the Bedslide 1500 or HD tier.

Does it work with my spray-in bed liner?
Not as-is. Bedslide explicitly does not recommend installation over bed liners because liner thickness varies across brands and can create alignment and mounting issues. Plan on removing the liner or contact us before ordering.

Can I use this under a tonneau cover?
Yes, if your cover provides at least 4.5 inches of clearance above the bed floor. Verify this with your cover manufacturer before ordering either product.

Does my 2022 Nissan Frontier fit this SKU?
Not confirmed. The 2022+ Frontier (third generation) is a redesigned platform. Bedslide has not officially confirmed the 10-7041-CLS for third-gen fitment. Text (469) 407-7538 and we'll verify before you order.

The one-inch difference between this SKU and the 10-7142-CLS matters primarily for Frontier owners. If you have a D40 Frontier, this is the correctly sized platform. If you have only a Colorado or Canyon and you're deciding between the two, the 10-7142-CLS adds one inch in each dimension — not a functional difference in most use cases, but the 10-7041-CLS is the SKU Bedslide specifically names for the Frontier application.

The 75% extension is what it is — practical for reaching anything in your bed from tailgate position, but not a full-slide-out drawer experience. For contractors who need to roll heavy gear completely clear of the bed, or for anyone who regularly loads from the back with a forklift or pallet jack, step up to the 1500 or HD tier with full extension capability.
