Component Specifications

Dimensional note: Bedslide states that all platform measurements are outer dimensions and include the grab bar handle. A manufacturing tolerance of ±¼ inch applies. Measure your bed interior to confirm clearance before ordering.

• F-150 2017–present (including Raptor): BSA-F150-2017 — uses factory bed bolts; T50 Torx bit and ratchet required (not included)

• No Bedslide-manufactured no-drill kit is confirmed for the Ram 1500, 2001–2016 F-150, or pre-2014 Silverado/Sierra on this SKU. Standard bolt-in applies to those vehicles.

Critical Compatibility

This is the most vehicle-diverse SKU in the Bedslide Classic lineup. Four different truck families share this platform size — and each has specific exclusions that must be verified before ordering.

Silverado / Sierra — generation cutoff.
This SKU fits the K2 (2014–2018) and GMT900 (2007–2013) Silverado/Sierra 1500 with the 5.5-foot crew cab short box. The 2019+ T1 redesign widened the bed — T1 owners need the 10-6848-CLS. If your Silverado or Sierra is a 2019 or newer model year, stop here.

Ram 1500 — RAMBox exclusion is absolute.
The RAMBox is a factory integrated storage system built into the bed sidewalls of certain Ram 1500 trims. It physically occupies the mounting rail area that the Bedslide requires. There is no workaround. If your Ram has RAMBox, this product cannot be installed. Check your bed sidewalls before ordering — RAMBox trucks have integrated lockable compartments built into both sides of the bed.

F-150 and F-150 Lightning — aluminum bed flag.
The 2015+ F-150 and all F-150 Lightning models have aluminum beds, not steel. Standard steel mounting hardware can cause galvanic corrosion where it contacts aluminum bed rails over time. Bedslide specifically produces the BSA-HALUMKT aluminum bed install kit for this application. If you have a 2015+ F-150 or F-150 Lightning, purchase BSA-HALUMKT alongside this SKU. Improper installation can lead to corrosion — this is Bedslide's own stated warning.

Raptor — confirmed across all generations.
The Ford Raptor (Gen 1: 2010–2014, Gen 2: 2017–2020, Gen 3: 2021+) retains the F-150's 5.5-foot bed across all three generations. This SKU fits all Raptor variants with the 5.5-foot bed. Apply the 2015+ aluminum bed flag to Gen 2 and Gen 3 Raptors.

Installation Notes

Skill level: Beginner to intermediate — manageable as a two-person installation.

Estimated time: 1 hour.

Shipping method: Because this SKU is 65 inches in length — at Bedslide's stated cutoff — it qualifies for UPS Ground shipping, not LTL freight. This is the one Classic-tier SKU in this size family that does not require freight carrier delivery. No residential delivery coordination needed; standard UPS tracking applies.

Tools required: Basic hand tools (socket set and wrench). For the F-150 2017+ no-drill kit: T50 Torx bit and ratchet (not included in the kit — must be supplied separately).

F-150 / F-150 Lightning / Raptor (2015+) — aluminum bed requirement:
These trucks have aluminum beds. Do not install using standard steel hardware without the BSA-HALUMKT aluminum bed install kit. Contact between steel hardware and aluminum rails without the proper kit creates a galvanic corrosion path that will damage your bed over time. Purchase BSA-HALUMKT with this SKU if your truck is a 2015+ F-150, any F-150 Lightning, or a 2017+ Raptor.

Bed liner warning: Bedslide does not recommend installation over spray-in or drop-in liners. Liner thickness varies by brand and compromises mounting alignment. Remove liner before installation.

No-drill installation options by vehicle:

• 2017+ F-150 (all bed lengths): BSA-F150-2017 — uses factory bed bolts; confirm bed bolts can be loosened before ordering
• 2014–2018 Silverado / Sierra: BSA-GM65
• Ram 1500, pre-2017 F-150, pre-2014 Silverado/Sierra: standard bolt-in only

Two-person recommendation: At 73 lb, this platform benefits from a second person for initial positioning and alignment, particularly when working in a crew cab bed with limited surrounding room.

Clearance check: Confirm at least 4.5 inches of vertical clearance if running a tonneau cover or truck cap. Measure before purchasing either product.

Common Questions

My 2019 Silverado 1500 has the short bed — does this fit?
No. The 2019+ Silverado 1500 T1 platform uses a wider bed that requires the 68x48 platform. Order 10-6848-CLS for your truck.

My Ram 1500 has RAMBox. Can I still use a Bedslide?
Not this SKU — the RAMBox occupies the mounting area the Bedslide requires and there is no workaround. Contact us to discuss whether any alternative fits your configuration.

My F-150 is a 2021 — do I need anything extra?
Yes. The 2021 F-150 has an aluminum bed. Order the BSA-HALUMKT aluminum bed install kit alongside this SKU to prevent galvanic corrosion at the mounting points. If you want no-drill installation, also order BSA-F150-2017, which uses your factory bed bolts.

Does this fit the Ford Raptor?
Yes — all three Raptor generations (2010–2014, 2017–2020, 2021+) use the F-150's 5.5-foot bed and are confirmed for this SKU. For 2017+ Raptors, purchase BSA-HALUMKT as well due to the aluminum bed.

Does the slide go all the way past the tailgate?
No. The Classic operates at 75% (¾) extension. It extends far enough to reach every part of your load from beside the tailgate without climbing in — it does not travel completely past the tailgate plane. The Bedslide 1500 and HD tiers provide full-extension capability if that's a requirement.

Will this ship to my house directly?
Yes — at exactly 65 inches, this SKU ships via UPS Ground, not LTL freight. No freight scheduling or residential delivery coordination required.

The 10-6548-CLS is Bedslide's most versatile Classic-tier platform by sheer number of confirmed applications. A single SKU covers two decades of F-150 production, three generations of the Raptor, two generations of Silverado/Sierra crew cab, and the Ram 1500 5.7-foot box. That breadth of fitment is a feature, not a compromise — the 5.5-foot super short box became the default crew cab bed configuration across nearly every major full-size truck line because it gives passengers room without sacrificing truck utility. Bedslide built one platform to fit all of them.

The critical decisions on this SKU are not finish or tier — they are vehicle-specific installation details. F-150 and Raptor owners on 2015+ trucks need to address the aluminum bed before ordering. Ram owners need to verify they do not have RAMBox before purchasing anything. Silverado owners need to confirm their truck is 2018 or earlier before landing here. On Classic vs. Contractor: 1,000 lb of evenly distributed capacity is the correct tier for the vast majority of operators using this size bed. Recreational loads, tools, moderate contractor supply runs — the Classic handles all of it. If your work regularly pushes toward or past that limit with unevenly distributed loads (which stress the platform more than even loads), the Contractor tier (15-6548-CG) is the correct move.

On UPS Ground shipping: this is the one advantage this SKU has over every other Classic platform wider than 65 inches. No freight scheduling, no residential delivery coordination, no waiting on a freight carrier callback. Standard tracking and doorstep delivery.
