Common Questions

Does the 75% extension mean the slide doesn't fully clear the tailgate?
Correct. The Heavy Duty tier extends 75% of the slide's travel — approximately 59 inches of the 79-inch platform clears the tailgate plane. This gives full access to the rear three-quarters of the cargo bed without requiring you to climb in. Full 100% extension is not a feature of any current Bedslide Heavy Duty tier. If your workflow requires the slide to extend fully beyond the tailgate, this product does not meet that requirement.

Will this fit my 2015 or newer Super Duty with the aluminum bed?
Yes, but not without the BSA-HALUMKT aluminum bed install kit, which is sold separately. Without it, the steel frame contacts the aluminum bed rails directly and will corrode over time. This is a known issue specific to 2015+ Ford Super Duty aluminum beds. Budget for that kit before purchasing this slide.

My F-350 is a DRW (dually). Does this fit?
Bedslide's published fitment data lists F-350 Super Duty with 6.9-foot bed without specifying SRW or DRW. The concern with DRW is whether wheel well intrusion on the dual rear axle affects the interior bed width at the mounting rail location. OFAS cannot confirm DRW fitment from available source data. Can I install this over my bedliner?
Bedslide does not recommend it. Spray-in liner thickness and surface contour vary by brand and application. In some cases adjustment is possible; in others the liner must be removed. If you have a drop-in liner, it will likely need to come out. Confirm before ordering — this is a non-returnable item once installed.

What is the warranty?
5-year standard warranty. Lifetime warranty available upon product registration with Bedslide. Register immediately after installation to lock in lifetime coverage.

Does this ship UPS or freight?
LTL freight. A 79" x 48" platform cannot ship via UPS or FedEx parcel. Residential freight delivery is included. OFAS will contact you after your order is placed to coordinate delivery scheduling.

This slide is for the Super Duty owner — contractor, fleet, or heavy-use commercial — who puts real loads on a real truck and needs a cargo system built to match. The 2,000 lb capacity, cam-follower bearing system, and hard latch are engineered for repeated heavy-duty cycling, not occasional use.

It is not for the buyer who wants full tailgate clearance on extension — the 75% travel is a design characteristic of the Heavy Duty tier, not a limitation to work around. If your operation requires complete slide-out-past-the-tailgate access, this product will not deliver that regardless of how it is configured. It is also not the right buy for a buyer moving lighter cargo who doesn't need 2,000 lb capacity — the Classic (1,000 lb) or Contractor (1,500 lb) tier handles that load at a lower cost and weight.
