Fitment, Shipping & Product Support
The BDS 1734FS is a 5.5-inch 4-link front lift kit with FOX 2.0 Performance Series shocks for the 2019–2026 Ram 3500 4WD gas equipped with factory rear air ride suspension. This is a true 4-link conversion — not a radius arm upgrade, not a leveling kit. The 4-link geometry corrects factory radius arm bind, improves articulation, and delivers 5.5 inches of front lift with gas-tuned coil springs. The included factory rear air ride integration brackets preserve load-leveling function at lifted height.
This kit has four hard fitment splits before it applies to your truck.
First — rear suspension: factory rear air ride only. If your Ram 3500 does NOT have factory rear air ride, order 1686FPE (no overload leaf, FOX 2.5 PE) or 1687FPE (with overload leaf, FOX 2.5 PE). Installing this kit on a non-air-ride truck adds brackets with nothing to connect to.
Second — engine: gas-tuned coil springs. Ram 3500 diesel requires a different kit — gas and diesel springs are not interchangeable.
Third — generation: 2019–2026 only. The 2018 and earlier Ram 3500 is a different platform and is not compatible.
Fourth — drivetrain: 4WD only. Ram 3500 2WD is not compatible.
For the 2019–2026 Ram 2500 4WD gas with factory air ride, see 1739FS — this kit is specific to the Ram 3500 platform.

How to Confirm Factory Rear Air Ride on Your Ram 3500
Check your window sticker or build sheet for "Rear Air Suspension" or "Active-Level Four-Corner Air Suspension." Visually, the factory air ride system uses air bags at the rear axle with an onboard compressor — distinguishable from conventional leaf springs on inspection. Text (469) 407-7538 with your VIN if you need confirmation before ordering.
Tire Clearance
At 5.5 inches of front lift on the 2019–2026 Ram 3500 gas platform, typical fitment runs 35–38-inch tires depending on wheel offset and backspacing. Confirm maximum tire diameter and wheel specifications with your wheel and tire supplier before ordering.
Installation Notes
Professional installation is required — 4-link conversion and Ram air ride experience mandatory. A 4-link conversion with factory air ride integration requires a qualified suspension shop experienced with both Ram 3500 4-link systems and Ram air ride systems. The combination adds complexity beyond either system in isolation. Do not attempt DIY installation.
Full front-end alignment is mandatory after installation. Do not drive on public roads before alignment is completed.
Air ride bracket confirmation before pressurizing system. Confirm factory rear air ride bracket installation is correct per BDS instructions before pressurizing the air ride system. If the air ride system does not function correctly at lifted height, do not drive — return to your installer before road use.
Driveline inspection is required after installation. Inspect driveshaft angles and U-joint operating angles after the 4-link conversion is installed. Confirm angles are within acceptable operating range before towing.
Torque all fasteners to BDS specification. Torque specs are included in the BDS installation instructions. Do not estimate torque values on a 3500-class platform.
FOX shock break-in period. Allow FOX 2.0 shocks to complete the manufacturer-recommended break-in period before aggressive off-road or heavy towing use.

The Obsidian Take
The BDS 1734FS is the correct kit for the 2019–2026 Ram 3500 4WD gas owner who has factory rear air ride and wants 5.5 inches of front lift via a true 4-link conversion — with the load-leveling system intact. The 4-link conversion corrects the front geometry at the source, eliminating the radius arm bind that limits the factory suspension, while the air ride integration brackets keep the rear system functional at lifted height.
The distinction between this kit and 1726FS is the front suspension architecture. Both deliver 5.5 inches of front lift on the Ram 3500 gas air ride platform with FOX 2.0 shocks. 1726FS uses a radius arm upgrade. This kit uses a 4-link conversion — a more thorough geometry correction that improves articulation more completely. If your Ram 3500 has factory air ride and you want the 4-link architecture at 5.5 inches, the 1734FS is the kit.
If your Ram 3500 does not have factory rear air ride, order 1686FPE or 1687FPE — same lift height, FOX 2.5 PE shocks, no air ride integration hardware. If your Ram 3500 is diesel, gas-tuned springs are the wrong rate. If you are on a Ram 2500 platform, order 1739FS.
The air ride brackets in this kit are what keep the load-leveling system working after the lift. If your truck has that system and you want 5.5 inches of front lift via a true 4-link conversion, the 1734FS is the complete, platform-correct solution.
Common Questions
How do I confirm my Ram 3500 has factory rear air ride?
Check your window sticker or build sheet for "Rear Air Suspension" or "Active-Level Four-Corner Air Suspension." Text (469) 407-7538 with your VIN and we will confirm before your order ships.
What is the difference between 1734FS and 1726FS?
Both kits fit the 2019–2026 Ram 3500 4WD gas with factory rear air ride and deliver 5.5 inches of front lift with FOX 2.0 shocks. The difference is the front suspension architecture — 1734FS uses a 4-link conversion and 1726FS uses a radius arm upgrade. The 4-link conversion provides more complete geometry correction and improved articulation.
What is the difference between 1734FS and 1686FPE or 1687FPE?
1734FS is for Ram 3500 trucks with factory rear air ride — includes air ride integration brackets and uses a 4-link conversion. 1686FPE and 1687FPE are for trucks without factory rear air ride — FOX 2.5 PE shocks, radius arm upgrade, no air ride hardware. Confirm your rear suspension configuration before ordering.
What happens if my air ride doesn't work correctly after installation?
Do not drive the truck. Confirm factory rear air ride bracket installation is correct per BDS instructions before pressurizing the system. Return to your installer to verify before road use.
Does this kit lift the rear of the truck?
This kit addresses front lift via the 4-link conversion. The factory rear air ride system handles rear suspension at lifted height via the included air ride integration brackets. Confirm rear ride height expectations with your installer before ordering.
Is this a DIY install?
No. A 4-link conversion combined with Ram air ride integration requires a qualified suspension shop. Professional installation is required.
What warranty does this kit carry?
BDS suspension components carry the BDS No-Fine-Print Warranty. FOX 2.0 shocks carry a FOX 1-year limited warranty.
