Fitment, Shipping & Product Support

A complete 4-inch radius arm suspension lift kit engineered for the 2019–2024 Ram 3500 gas 4WD — configured for trucks without the factory rear overload leaf spring, with FOX 2.5 Performance Elite Series shocks. Heavy-duty tubular replacement radius arms mount in the factory location with caster adjustment and OE-style rubber bushings. Gas-specific progressive rate Pro-Ride coil springs provide the 4-inch front lift. A precision transfer case indexing ring and high-clearance transmission crossmember address driveline geometry at this lift height. The rear uses a high-strength fabricated lift block with extended U-bolts for a 3-inch rear lift. FOX 2.5 Performance Elite Series shocks with DSC adjuster and external reservoir front and rear. Supports up to 37-inch tires.

Before ordering: Gas 4WD only. For 2024: only Limited Longhorn, Tradesman, Big Horn, Laramie, and Limited trims are verified. Exhaust modification is required to clear the front driveshaft — the vehicle can be driven without the front driveshaft to an exhaust shop. This is the Without Factory Rear Overload Leaf variant — if your Ram 3500 has the factory rear overload leaf, see SKU BDS1701FPE. Dually or Mega Cab models with an Aisin 8-bolt transmission require BDS122409, sold separately.

Required separately (conditional):

  • BDS122409 — DEF tank relocation bracket, required for Dually or Mega Cab with Aisin 8-bolt transmission
  • BDS122422 — Manual transfer case shifter extension, if equipped with manual T-case
  • BDS122406 — Carrier bearing drop, if equipped with 2-piece rear driveshaft (carrier bearing)

The Obsidian Take

The BDS1700FPE is the without-overload-leaf companion to BDS1701FPE — same 4-inch radius arm gas Ram 3500 platform, same FOX 2.5 Performance Elite shocks with DSC adjuster and external reservoir, same exhaust modification requirement, same Moderate difficulty and pitman arm puller only requirement. The rear block is dimensioned for trucks without the factory overload leaf spring. Rear spring pack is the single pre-order check: no overload leaf, this kit; overload leaf present, BDS1701FPE.
