Critical Compatibility

• Wiring harness not included: PN 640122 (On/Off with mode switch for backlight) is the required harness for this 40-inch bar. It controls both the main beam and the amber backlight feature. Do not use PN 640115 — that harness is rated for 10–30 inch S8 bars only.
• Amber backlit feature: This bar includes an amber backlight in addition to the primary Baja Amber forward beam. The amber backlight is controlled by the PN 640122 harness mode switch.
• Baja Amber lens: Primary output light appears amber-colored. Select Baja Amber for improved contrast in dust, fog, rain, and precipitation. For maximum raw white-light output in open conditions, see the clear-lens variant SKU 704003.
• Slim profile: At 1.6 inches tall and 3 inches deep, the S8 is significantly slimmer than the OnX6+ platform (2.69 inches tall). Confirm mounting clearance before ordering.
• Universal fitment: Mounting brackets are included. No vehicle-specific hardware is included beyond what is in the box.
• Off-road use: Some lighting outputs may not be legal for use on public roads. Buyer is responsible for compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Installation Notes

Professional installation is recommended. The S8 Straight mounts using the included stainless steel mounting brackets. Wiring harness PN 640122 must be sourced separately before installation — the bar cannot be operated without it.

What is the difference between SKU 704013 and SKU 704003?
The only difference is the lens color. SKU 704013 has a Baja Amber lens. SKU 704003 has a clear lens. All other specifications — lumens, wattage, amperage, dimensions, weight, harness requirement, and amber backlight feature — are identical.

What is the amber backlight feature?

No. The S8 platform does not have High/Low beam switching. It is a single-output forward beam with amber backlight mode.
