Critical Compatibility

• Two harness options: PN 640115 is the standard On/Off 3-pin harness for S8 bars in the 10–30 inch range. PN 640122 adds a mode switch for controlling the amber backlight feature separately. Both work with this 20-inch bar — select based on whether backlight control is desired.
• Amber backlit feature: This bar includes an amber backlight in addition to the primary clear forward beam. Backlight control requires PN 640122. With PN 640115, the bar operates as a standard On/Off light without independent backlight switching.
• Clear lens: Primary output light is standard white/clear for maximum raw lumen output and natural daylight color rendering. For Baja Amber output, no 20-inch Baja Amber S8 variant appears in the current OFAS verified data — confirm availability with Baja Designs.
• Slim profile: At 1.6 inches tall and 4.5 lbs, the 20-inch S8 is the lightest and most compact straight-bar configuration in the S8 lineup in this project.
• Universal fitment: Mounting brackets are included. No vehicle-specific hardware is included beyond what is in the box.
• Off-road use: Some lighting outputs and configurations may not be legal for use on public roads. Buyer is responsible for compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Installation Notes

Professional installation is recommended. The S8 Straight mounts using the included stainless steel mounting brackets. Either wiring harness must be sourced separately before installation — the bar cannot be operated without one.

The 702003 is the 20-inch S8 in Clear — the most compact straight-bar configuration in the S8 lineup, at 12,700 lumens, 16 LEDs, 4.5 lbs, and 1.6 inches tall. The S8 platform's slim profile advantage is most apparent at this length: 20 inches of Cree LED output at aircraft-grade aluminum construction at under 5 pounds opens mounting positions that larger bars can't reach. Unlike the 40 and 50-inch S8 bars where PN 640115 was excluded, the 20-inch bar supports both PN 640115 and PN 640122 — choose 640122 if you want independent backlight mode switching, 640115 if standard On/Off is sufficient.

Common Questions

Is a wiring harness included?
No. Either PN 640115 (On/Off 3-pin, 10–30 inch standard) or PN 640122 (On/Off with backlight mode switch) is applicable for this 20-inch bar. Both must be purchased separately.

Which harness should I choose?
If you want to control the amber backlight feature independently with a mode switch, choose PN 640122. If standard On/Off operation is sufficient, PN 640115 is the simpler option and is sized for 10–30 inch S8 bars.

Can I control the amber backlight with PN 640115?
PN 640115 provides On/Off control only. For independent backlight mode switching, choose PN 640122.

What is the amber backlight feature?
