Description
Your Rubicon. Your Sahara. Your build standard.
The Rubicon and Sahara JL, JLU, and Gladiator JT run the wide-track Dana 44 front axle from the factory. You lifted it to prove the point. The factory tie rod and drag link don't share that commitment — they're stamped steel engineered for stock geometry, and at 2–6 inches of lift with 35s or 37s they introduce the bump steer and vague front-end response that makes a capable Wrangler feel unfinished.
The Apex Chassis KIT125-Dana44-NoFlip is the correction — and the one you choose when the build standard applies underneath as much as it does on top. Polished 7075-T6 aluminum, phosphate-coated high-misalignment ends, and the full ProLock system — engineered specifically for the wide-track Dana 44 (M210) front axle on the 2018–2026 JL/JLU and 2019–2026 Gladiator JT at 2–6" of lift with OEM or mild aftermarket knuckles. At 44.6 lbs — 7.9 lbs lighter than the steel version — with a mirror finish that reflects the standard of the rest of the build.

Why polished aluminum over steel on a trail-capable Rubicon or Sahara: At 44.6 lbs — 7.9 lbs lighter than the DOM steel version — the unsprung weight savings are substantial and directly measurable. Less unsprung mass means faster suspension response and improved ride quality on 35" or 37" tire packages. The lighter rotational load also protects the factory EHPS power steering motor from heat fatigue that heavy steel linkage causes over time. 7075-T6 features natural flex memory — absorbs harsh trail vibration and springs back to its original tracking profile without permanent flat spots.
KIT125-Dana44-NoFlip vs KIT115-Dana44-NoFlip — which one: Same wide Dana 44 platform, same standard no-flip geometry, same ProLock system. The KIT125 is polished 7075-T6 aluminum at 44.6 lbs — reduced unsprung weight, mirror finish, optimized for street, trail, and performance builds. The KIT115 is heavy-wall DOM steel at 52.5 lbs — maximum impact resistance for dedicated rock crawling where the linkage takes direct hits against boulder faces. Performance is identical on street and mild trail. For serious rock crawl, steel.

❌ This kit does NOT fit — read before ordering
| Vehicle / Configuration | Reason | Correct Unit |
|---|---|---|
| Jeep Wrangler JL/JLU Sport or Sport S | Dana 30 equipped | KIT125-Dana30-NoFlip |
| Gladiator JT Sport without Max-Tow package | Dana 30 equipped | KIT125-Dana30-NoFlip |
| High-steer knuckle conversions on Dana 44 | Incorrect drag link angle — unsafe steering geometry | KIT120-Dana44-YesFlip |
| Factory stock wheels | Deep backspacing contacts joint housings — 17" minimum, 4.5" max backspacing required | — |
| 2007–2018 Jeep Wrangler JK / JKU | Different steering geometry | KIT130-NoFlip / KIT150-NoFlip |
⚠️ Wheel clearance — hard requirement: The 2.5-ton joint housings require a minimum 17" wheel with 4.5" or less backspacing. Factory Rubicon and Sahara 17" wheels typically run 5.75"–6.25" backspacing — the inner barrel will contact the joint housings at full steering lock. Aftermarket wheels or quality wheel spacers required. Text (469) 407-7538 with your wheel brand, model, and backspacing and we'll confirm clearance before you order.
⚠️ High-steer knuckle incompatibility: Installing the no-flip kit on high-steer knuckles will produce incorrect drag link angle and unsafe steering geometry. If you are running any high-steer knuckle conversion on your Dana 44 — use KIT120-Dana44-YesFlip, no exceptions.
⚠️ 392 HEMI and Ecodiesel owners: These trims may feature tighter passenger-side track bar bracket clearances. Text (469) 407-7538 with your year, trim, and suspension setup before ordering and we'll verify clearances before we ship.
⚠️ Gladiator Sport axle verification: Gladiator Sport without the Max-Tow package runs the Dana 30 — order KIT125-Dana30-NoFlip. Gladiator Sport with the Max-Tow package runs the Dana 44 — this kit fits. Check your build sheet or text us your VIN to confirm.
Supporting mod requirements:
- Lifts 2–3": Direct bolt-on beyond wheel backspacing requirement.
- Lifts exceeding 3": Adjustable control arms or caster correction kit recommended to restore factory caster angle.
Before You Buy — Questions We Get Asked
Q: What's the difference between KIT125-Dana44-NoFlip and KIT115-Dana44-NoFlip?
Same wide Dana 44 platform, same standard no-flip geometry, same ProLock system. The KIT125 is polished 7075-T6 aluminum at 44.6 lbs — 7.9 lbs lighter, reduced unsprung weight, mirror finish, optimized for street, trail, and performance builds where ride dynamics and aesthetics matter. The KIT115 is heavy-wall DOM steel at 52.5 lbs — maximum impact resistance for dedicated rock crawling and direct boulder contact. Performance is identical on street and mild trail. For serious rock crawl, steel is the correct material.
Q: What's the difference between KIT125-Dana44-NoFlip and KIT125-Dana30-NoFlip?
Same polished 7075-T6 aluminum construction, same standard no-flip geometry. The Dana 44 version fits wide-track M210 axles — Rubicon, Sahara, 4xe, Mojave, and Gladiator Dana 44 trims. The Dana 30 version fits standard-track M186 axles — Sport and Sport S trims. The tie rod lengths differ between the two platforms. Confirm your axle before ordering — text us your VIN and we'll verify in minutes.
Q: Does this fit my Gladiator Sport?
Depends on configuration. Gladiator Sport without the Max-Tow package runs the Dana 30 — order KIT125-Dana30-NoFlip. Gladiator Sport with the Max-Tow package runs the Dana 44 — this kit fits. Check your build sheet or text (469) 407-7538 with your VIN and we'll confirm before you order.
Q: Does the polished finish require maintenance?
Raw 7075-T6 aircraft aluminum — not chrome plating, not a coating. It will not rust, chip, or peel. Over time it develops a natural aluminum patina. A quick pass with standard aluminum polish restores the mirror shine instantly. For a working Jeep that sees road salt and weather year-round, the KIT115-Dana44-NoFlip in DOM steel is the lower-maintenance call.
The Obsidian Take
The KIT125-Dana44-NoFlip is the right kit for the Rubicon, Sahara, 4xe, or Gladiator JT owner who built the truck to a standard and needs the undercarriage to match. The polished 7075-T6 construction delivers the same geometry correction as the steel version at 7.9 lbs less unsprung weight — faster suspension response, improved pavement tracking on heavy 35" or 37" tire packages, and meaningfully reduced rotational load on the factory EHPS motor. The ProLock system physically locks alignment under sustained trail loads and highway washboards. The raw mirror-polished finish is not chrome that flakes or paint that chips — it restores instantly with a pass of aluminum polish and reflects the standard of the rest of the build every time someone gets underneath.
This kit is not for Sport or Sport S owners with the Dana 30 — the tie rod lengths are different and this kit will not fit your axle geometry. See KIT125-Dana30-NoFlip. It is not for builders running high-steer knuckle conversions on the Dana 44 — the no-flip geometry produces incorrect drag link angles on flipped knuckles, use KIT120-Dana44-YesFlip. It is not for dedicated rock crawlers who will take direct boulder impacts against the linkage — the KIT115-Dana44-NoFlip in DOM steel is the correct tool for that application. And factory Rubicon and Sahara 17" wheels will not clear the joint housings — verify your wheel backspacing is 4.5" or less before ordering.
