Maintenance: Debris (mud, dirt, salt) trapped in the mechanism can cause noise or binding. To service: manually deploy the step by opening the door and holding foot pressure on the step while closing the door. Pressure-wash the front and rear linkages at all 4 hinge points, avoiding direct spray on the motors. After washing, apply silicone spray (dry film lubricant) only to the linkage arms and pivot pins, then cycle the door. Do not apply silicone, wax, protectants (e.g., Armor All), greases, oils, WD-40, or penetrants beyond the specified silicone spray.

Regular Cab is only verified for the 2019–2021 Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500 — it doesn't carry over to the 2022 LTD/Limited variants or to any 2500 HD/3500 HD application. The 1500 LTD and Sierra 1500 Limited themselves are locked to the 2022 model year on the older body style only, not the redesigned 2022+ trucks.
